The one thing to keep in mind is that his nuttiness isn't working, so it'll be hard to try and recapture this wave of far right-wing support of Trump because the price of that support comes at losing 10 to 20+ points in Republican support, forget about Independents!

The question is how do his strong supporters / brown shirts handle a landslide. They seem to think Trump is actually winning at this point, they are that deluded.

I agree. It will be no surprise if Trump incites his sheeple to violence against the government after getting trounced in the election, then goes on his "very very nice long vacation" - probably at Hotel Baltschug Kempinski in Moscow, where he will still be adored.
 
I suspect that when Hillary wins, many Trump supporters will be very angry and panicky. The idea that she may nominate several supreme court nominees will have them spinning in crazy circles. Lush Rimjob and Sean Insanity will fan the flames. As usual, gun sales will jump into high gear. It's going to be priceless.

His approach is only superficially unorthodox. It is really just a more extreme version of the "Southern strategy" of appealing to irrational fears, bigotries, ignorance, anti-intellectualism, and worst elements of humanity, just like the GOP has increasingly done for the last 50 years. He merely does so more openly and with less coded language than other politicians, although he is no more honest because he doesn't actually believe much of the sentiments he endorses.

Nothing but very bad things reminiscent of Munich in 1932 would come from that approach being politically successful.

As such, I am a supporter of Trump going back to what he does well...hosting a television show.

If Trump becomes President, he will be on the television 24/7 for you.
 
There are Trump signs scattered around my neighborhood. My next door neighbor has one. I don't know him well at all, but he and his wife seem like nice people. I just assume he gets all of his information from Fox. The sign is facing one of our black neighbor's homes and I have wondered if it was incidental or if he's trying to send a racist message.

I have a friend down the street that bought a Trump sign, cut off the T and the P and put it out. It says "RUM, Make America Great Again." We will need more than rum if Trump were to somehow become president. So far, there isn't a single Hillary sign in the neighborhood, but there are two that say, Never Hillary. I guess they are too ashamed to say they support Trump. Someone should sneak into those yards and replace the "Never" with "Forever." I'd do it but I might get shot. Yes. I live in an ultra conservative area but I have quite a few liberal atheist friends here and we help each other stay reasonably sane.

So, do you guys see any Trump signs in your neighborhoods? I saw a few when I was visiting New Jersey a couple of weeks ago, so I know the sickness isn't limited to the south.
 
I live in an interesting neighborhood, a mix of old timers who moved in when the placed was built 50 years ago, new couples starting out, lower class to middle class, white and black, racist asses and great people. I haven't seen any signs.
 
I was just noticing this weekend that I have not seen any presidential race political signs yet. And I'm not exaggerating. I've seen none.

Y'know... I had not noticed, but now I do. That's just... weird. Like no matter which candidate you put up a lawn sign for, your house will get torched. Is that the level to which Trump has already managed to drag us down? FWIW this is a mixed-bag rural town of under 10k, heavy on ranching but also a big art community and lots of outdoor recreation....

The last political signs I saw were for Bernie. They're down now that he sold out.

Trump supporters in this forum? We would need a seer to look under the surface layer of peoples posts to find the one Trump supporter in this forum.

Hopefully the Bernie signs are down because Bernie is no longer a candidate and not because those people are so pathetically stupid and infantile to view his rational support for Hillary as infinitely superior to Trump as "selling out".
 
Our town has Trump and Bernie signs.
 
I saw more pro-Trump signs during the Primary than I am now.

PS Oh, and no Trump or Clinton signs so far in my area... Though I'm in a Blue state, my area isn't exactly uber liberal, as our state house rep is a Repug. Though Oregon Repugs are like closer to Pugs compared to the so many Rottweiler elsewhere... I have seen a few Trump signs on big 4x4 trucks...
