In that article it claims that Trump bought steel from China and that China took a loss on the sale so that they could drive American businesses under. I presume the price for the Chinese steel was cheaper than the American steel and since China took a loss on the deal that essentially means that, thanks to Trump, China is subsidizing infrastructure in the US.

I'm no fan of Trump, but there is a reason market economies are the preferred economic system throughout the world. If China wants to give you free steel, why would you say no?

Because he is running around now trumpeting "Make America Great Again!" and claiming he will "bring jobs back" to the USA rather than discussing the benefits of international trade. If Trump thinks his business dealings with China were better for the USA, why doesn't he say so at one of his rallies.

It's a common mantra which is bleated out by all the parties but in reality the steel comes pouring in because it is cheaper. It is cheaper in part because China has produced massive plants. Adding tariffs is not enough since the Beijing government is quite happy to provide subsidies for these companies while dumping its steel (sorry exporting) its steel to the USA.

Steel prices are current low due to slow demand. However when demand is high, China can has the capacity produce 1 to 2 billion tons a year. Sounds unbelievable so here is one reference:

As a private citizen, it was not his responsibility to "bring jobs back" or "make America great". So, he did what was his job at the time, make business decisions that were best for the business.
What he clearly said as part of his platform was that the issue is related to the tax incentives businesses have to "send jobs and money to china". He wants to stop what people that are in the position he was in from being incentivized to continue this.

Ther eis plenty wrong with Trump being president, let's not try to spin the few positive things into something negative. It just makes us look as bad as the trumpsuckers (I like that term, heh).

You could replace the s with an f. Of course if steel of comparable quality is cheaper from China, then any company will flock to the suppliers.

Me neither. But that is our opinion... which differs from what he stated.

The real point I am making is that it simply looks bad that opponents are "spinning" his words and past actions when it is completely unnecessary to illustrate what a bad idea it might be to consider him for a political role.

My wife got to see one of her relatives whining on Facebook about Hillary gunna hurt his family...with the below pic. I didn't know I was related to a billionaire LOL; let alone the idiot is most certainly not even close to a million cashed out, let alone the $7 million Clinton has proposed in place of the current $10 million cut off for Estate taxes. These evangelical rednecks used to call their few acres of desert a ranch, but now it is a farm, as they have about a 1/4 acre planted and they play as farmers. But for some reason he drives an hour into town and parks his fat butt (literally) in a chair as a standard white collar worker at a desk.

No. All we've established is that some of the people on this board really really want libertarians to support Trump, but when I asked them why they wanted that they wouldn't answer.
 
It's because libertarians are all about destroying goodness and freedom and a Trump presidency is the easiest way to do that.
