Emailgate - FBI will soon have to make a choice, knuckle under or recommend criminal charges.

Floundering. Write a letter to the FBI giving your amazing legal defense - I'm sure they will be impressed.

Thanks for proving you're nothing but a partisan political hack that doesn't give a shit about REAL negligence where REAL harm has occurred.

You only care about worthless cries of negligence where there isn't a shred of evidence any REAL harm has occurred.

For those of us who lived through one worthless politically motivated witch hunt after another during the Clinton presidency it is unnerving to see how little has changed in the Grand Old Party without any ideas.

Excuse us? Did "we" forget the left-wing lynch mob who went after Karl Rove, because they wanted to believe that he was the one that leaked Valarie Plame's CIA employment to Novak? You know, the same mob that was disappointed that the "outing" was actually by a staffer working for the liberal media hero Colin Powell?

So tell us about the classified data harm caused by Rove's assistant, Scooter Libby, when the actual person who confessed was totally ignored, and never prosecuted by Fitzgerald because he was not who the left was out to get?

My...My...how the worm turns. ;)

Also, to say that a "technical violation" of the law should not be prosecuted is kind of weird and opens a door to a whole new defense strategy for any crime ...
:D You know, it is funny that people do offer a "defense" of criminal wrong doing on claims of "it was only a technical violation of the law" so not serious. To the extreme it is only a technical violation that people happen to die after being shot. All the perpetrator did was pull a trigger so that is all they should be charged with if that is a crime.

Did you hear about the jurisprudence fetishist who got off on a technicality?

The harm that occurred was to Valerie Plame.

Not Karl Rove.

And there was actual harm there.

Unlike this most recent non-story about the alleged crime without harm or a victim.

No victim?

What about all the Republicans who were so sure that Scandal #87 was going to be the one to finally take Hillary down and are now left trying to beat this dead horse back to life time and time again?

Doesn't their pain mean anything?

Nawww...the corruption of the current administration is a bottomless well.

That must be why so many Obama administration people have been indicted.

Well of course they haven't been indicted, because the Obama administration has corrupted the entire judiciary system and all law enforcement at the federal level! Even if you could find an honest prosecutor to bring charges, who would make the arrest? The federal marshals? How would they get past the Secret Service and that one Marine at the White House? They're all in the bag for Obama!

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

"So tell us about the classified data harm caused by Rove's assistant, Scooter Libby"...yet HE WAS THE ONE who was charged by Fitzgerald.

In other words, all your belly aching about how folks should walk if they don't contribute REAL HARM to national security is horse poo...unless, of course, you (and the like-minded Rove haters) were also condemning Fitzgerald for prosecuting the wrong person?

Sorry old chap, your dog don't hunt.

We don't really know who leaked her employment. We know who talked to the press, not whether it was sanctioned by those higher up the ladder. Given the lack of punishment I rather suspect he wasn't acting on his own.

One must totally buy into the idea of a permanent national security state to care about this.

The truth is, all correspondence with the SOS should be entirely transparent.

As things turned out, it was legal for the top echelon of the Executive Branch to leak the information. Hence, despite how grossly immoral and treasonous the act was, the only actual crime committed was them lying to the FBI about the leak.

That you'd even try to defend such treachery being used in a run up to an unnecessary war just shows how much you actually don't care about the nation's security.

Remember, whenever anybody tells you the victim is "everybody in the US", there really is no victim and they have ulterior motives for trying to pretend there is.
