Epstein, Kiddies, And Trump. Oh, My

The Justice Department on Friday asked a federal judge overseeing the case of deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein to deny a request from NBC News to unseal the names of two associates who received large payments from him in 2018, court documents show. The Justice Department cited privacy concerns expressed by the two individuals as the reason for not making their names public.

The first associate received a payment of $100,000 from Epstein and the second associate received a payment of $250,000, both in 2018, days after the Miami Herald began publishing a series of investigative stories where victims criticized a plea deal he received in Florida in 2008.

As part of the plea agreement, Epstein secured a statement from federal prosecutors in Florida that the two individuals would not be prosecuted.

The payments became public after Epstein was indicted and arrested in New York in 2019 and asked to be released on bail. Federal prosecutors in New York filed a memorandum on July 16, 2019, that argued Epstein should remain in jail to prevent him from tampering with witnesses.

They cited the payments he made to the two individuals, which began two days after the Miami Herald began publishing its stories on Epstein’s plea deal, also known as a nonprosecution agreement, or NPA.

Non-prosecution agreement. I don't see how it's acceptable to void that.
Agreement would be void if they were paid to lie.

NYT this morning has an explosive investigative reporting on Epstein and how JP Morgan Bank was complicit with and supported his bankrolling of sex trafficking. JP Morgan has paid finds and has been investigated and the key player Jes Staley kept defending Epstein over 15 years when many on the staff raised red flags and said he should have been dumped. Epstein got credit cards and large sums of cash for the victims.

What the article does not say - where did the large sums of cash come from in the first place?

Blackmail?

It's no problem to honor a no-pro agreement, but it comes with a catch. Any person who is granted immunity no longer has 5th Amendment protection. They can be compelled to testify and face contempt charges if they refuse to cooperate. Any person is free to refute the no-pro by claiming they were never a coconspirator and take their chances in court.

The House Oversight Committee has received its first transmission of documents from the estate of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including the so-called “birthday book” – a reported collection of letters gifted to Epstein for his 50th birthday that included a note bearing President Donald Trump’s name.

Democrats on the committee posted on X an image of the page with Trump’s name. Trump has repeatedly denied writing the letter and sued The Wall Street Journal, which first reported on it, for defamation.

It appears that this is the note that Trump sued the WSJ over saying it doesn't exist.

The White House is operating in a reality denying void of disgrace.

After that picture was released, having been obtained directly from Epstein's estate lawyers, the White House still thinks that it has a prayer in it's retaliatory idiotic defamation suit against the WSJ.

The White House deputy chief of staff for communications, Taylor Budowich, responded to the release of the image from the so-called Epstein birthday book by suggesting that The Wall Street Journal, which Trump has sued for defamation over its reporting on the image, should prepare to settle with the president. “Time for @newscorp to open that checkbook, it’s not his signature. DEFAMATION!” Mr. Budowich wrote on X. A White House spokesman did not respond to an additional request for comment.

Look, it's just locker room stuff.

It is funny that Trump said he doesn't write like that. It sounds very Trump like, creepily self-aggrandizing.

This seems like the First Lie tactic. Put out the false statement and walk it back, but the primary statement remains the "truth".

Ya what a liar she is. She's pretty much as big a liar as Trump is.

Here are some other examples of Trump's Donald signature posted on New York Times. I save the image but can't find the story at the moment.
