Explosion in Nashville that damaged dozens of buildings is believed to be an intentional act

Disgruntled employee sounds rather likely at this point.

On first hearing of the attack probably a lot of people speculated it would be some trumpsuckers, as there are a lot of violent supporters anomalies them. But the care bomb gave off a recorded warming to evacuate beforehand, which doesn’t fit that group.

This security video picked up the warning

A few conspicuous details are missing from the story. The police suspected a bomb before the explosion, so this RV parked on a Nashville street on Christmas morning did something to attract attention.

It was broadcasting a bomb warning before it exploded. Definitely looking for attention. Hopefully they didn't kill anyone in the process.

Definitely the fingerprint of ANTIFA, the world's most polite and considerate terrorist bombers.

At this point very little is known. They don't even have a suspect yet, and don't know if it is foreign or domestic yet. If domestic, it isn't known if the motivation is personal or political. If political, they don't know if it is left or right.

What is known is that this was a very precise attack. It took down emergency services and card payment services in many places around the country. I deduce that whoever did this knew what they were doing.

I think the likelihood of it being Antifa is low for one reason - the bomb actually went off and actually destroyed its target.

I also think it unlikely to be Antifa. But for different reasons.

Trumpistas and disgruntled employees look a lot more likely. Both are known for self indulgence and violence.

While the fact that the bomb actually went off and destroyed something means it probably isn't Antifa, the very precise choice of targets does reduce the likelihood that it was a Trumpista. They'd have to know what they are doing, and there is more to this incident than merely saying "a bomb went off".

I'm afraid you're going to have to look beyond the narrow left-right dichotomous perspective that people on this board use to process everything.

This could be a precursor crime, because of how it brought down much in the way of emergency response networks. Or it could be someone with a specific grudge against AT&T. Other than all of their customer base, who would have that specific a grudge?

Any of their former customers dating back to 1885.

The explosion was a good block away from the "Batman Building".

You don't think Antifas are prone to "self-indulgence and violence"?

Do you remember Willem van Sprossen, a 69 year old Antifa activist who tried to bomb an ICE jail outside of Seattle last year?

Batman building wasn't in close proximity to it, but the building at 185 2nd Ave was right next to the blast site and it also belongs to AT&T. Apparently it houses AT&T network equipment, which is why a lot of AT&T services went down.

Ah, but this bombing was successful, and Antifa aren't prone to success.

Police are investigating a person of interest, Anthony Quinn Warner.

Apparently they’re scraping him off the buildings.

Maybe they'll re-name the street after him.

5G won't do all the things these loonies say, but I am not so confident about its safety

5G uses the same radio bands as the old analog television signals, and at a lot less power. I don't remember anyone complaining of Ozzie And Harriet giving them cancer.

Huh? They're not even close to the same frequency.

And the inverse square principle would apply anyway. Nobody used to hold oldtime television sets to their heads.

Oldtime TVs didn't transmit...they were receivers only. :banghead:
