Federal law enforcement document reveals white supremacists discussed using coronavirus as a bioweapon

Federal investigators appeared to be monitoring the white nationalists’ communications on Telegram, an encrypted messaging app that has become popular with neo-Nazis. In the conversations, the white supremacists suggested targeting law enforcement agents and “nonwhite” people with attacks designed to infect them with the coronavirus.

“Violent extremists continue to make bioterrorism a popular topic among themselves,” reads the intelligence brief written by the Federal Protective Service, which covered the week of Feb. 17-24. “White Racially Motivated Violent Extremists have recently commented on the coronavirus stating that it is an ‘OBLIGATION’ to spread it should any of them contract the virus.”

There are particular groups and particular ideologies that reinforce this animal brain tribalism, violence, and hatred toward outgroups. I bet you could name a few yourself if you wanted. If not, we can list some out for you and explain what they have in common.

I'm certainly not glad that they specifically threaten law enforcement, but when law enforcement is threatened like this, it becomes a top priority for law enforcement to target them back. And I say this because the right wing white supremacist mentality is strong in law enforcement, but when they themselves are targeted, they can't easily ignore it or downplay it and instead focus on that black guy holding a coffee cup that they will claim looked suspiciously like a firearm.

It wouldn't be hard to send infected people in over the border. It wouldn't really be very effective, though. The only country they could actually hurt this way is China.

Missouri man planned to bomb hospital during pandemic to get attention for white supremacist views

A Missouri man who was killed last week was planning to set off a bomb at a hospital to further his radical white supremacist ideology, federal authorities said Monday.

Timothy Wilson, 36, died March 24 when the FBI sought to arrest him after a six-month investigation. A summary of the case in an FBI advisory sent to law enforcement Monday said he met with an undercover FBI employee and talked about setting off a vehicle bomb at a hospital because of "the increased impact given the media attention on the health sector" due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Agents said Wilson bought several bags of fertilizer that can be used in bombs and kept them in a storage unit. They said Wilson and the undercover operative visited the hospital and discussed planning the attack.

On March 24, Wilson met the undercover at the storage unit and picked up what he thought was a working bomb but was actually an inert device constructed by the FBI. He was killed in a shootout when the FBI moved in to arrest him.
