'Follow On' Word Game

I'm familiar with gin; I'm familiar with vermouth.... never heard of 'gin vermouth'.

Transitions should be actual phrases or terms, not 'word association'.

Ask yersef what's the follow on word to gin for a  martini? vermouth which is wine.

But hey you want to play editor in chief fine.
 
'easy old' isn't an acceptable transition phrase.... How about we pretend the transition was 'easy street', which leads to 'street man' [instead of 'old man'], so I can still continue on from the 'man' part? [no harm, no foul!] :D
