Founder of Papa John's used the n-word

Just as I suspected. In most of the discussions I see other people having about this, everyone is focusing on the use of the n-word itself instead of what he said, which was essentially an admission of racism.

Is it interesting that both conservatives and liberals and libertarians and progressives are focusing on the n-word as opposed to the actual argument made?

Fixed it for you.

Yes, it is funny, that in a thread about the use of the n-word, people are discussing the use of the n-word.

As I wrote to you before, the thread is not about the n-word. You didn't respond for some reason. So my post stands.

So quoting other people saying bad things is wrong? That's interesting.

This could have severe implications on defamation cases.
"He called me an xxx"
"OMG, you said the word xxx"
"OMG, now you said the word xxx. OMG, now I said the word xxx."

From the op:
Underseer: "...That is not in and of itself racist..."

Why the derail?

*crickets*

Underseer explained in the op, but a Libertarian and conservatives (who are completely different, honest) derailed it anyway.

Yes, it's about the use of it.

There's a thread about the point of no return for the US. Go and complain about how people are discussing the point of no return for the US.
There's a thread about union seniority. Go and complain about how people are discussing union seniority.
There's a thread about the DNC changing rules for superdelegates. Go complain about how people are discussing the DNC changing rules for superdelegates.

It must be some sort of evil plot.

So yes, in this thread we have liberals and conservatives (who are completely different honest they just happen to use the same arguments for the same positions) discussing the use of the n-word, and when they see libertarians doing it to accuse the libertarians of ducking the issue.

Everyone's discussing it because you derailed the thread with it in POST#3.

From Underseer's op: "...That is not in and of itself racist..."

He already said it's NOT racist to use the word, not in and of itself in POST#1. Duh!

This is the salient point of the op you need to address but instead derailed:
Underseer said:
But if your response to an accusation of racism is to point out that someone else is even more racist, you're racist. If you have to point to a Southerner from an older generation to find an example of someone more racist than you, you're pretty fucking racist.

Now, instead of getting the thread on track, you want to have a pissing contest.

Please address it or get out.

I did address the topic of the use of the n word. Quit whining.

Even if it were true (it's not), but even if it were true that what he said implies that he's racist, it would still not be an admission and therefore could not be an admission of anything, let alone an admission of racism.
