Fuck CBS. They bow to trump

This saddens and angers me, as I was a CBS employee for over 16 years. I was happy to have an @CBS.com email and have the prestige of saying "I work for CBS. Yes, that CBS."

Didn't think they could sink any lower than paying extortion money to Trump, but damned if they didn't bow to him even lower and kiss the ring.

The financial reason is 'their new parent company is owned by someone who Trump paid millions of dollars and is turning his ear that way.'

Bring back Craig Ferguson with Geoff Peterson, damn it!
Colbert is good too, he should move to some other channel.
And Star-Trek Enterprise, it should have been at least 5 seasons!
America turned into crap.

It should cost more than mere millions of dollars.

Don’t tell me this has anything to do with financial issues. This is CBS bowing to pressure from Trump. This is how censorship begins.

I fail to see how sunsetting a talentless hack like Corbet is censorship. If you want to see what censorship actually looks like, think back to when Brandon's son's laptop was doing the rounds or when Covid was being discussed.

How expensive can the late night show possibly be?

I read that Colbert get something like $15m a year. So there's that.

Dude, you and your tribe wouldn't shut the fuck up about it! It's all you fucking talked about for fucking years. So kindly go fuck yourself with your bullshit claim about censorship. The only meaningful thing about Hunter's laptop was that it finally got you to shut the fuck up about Clinton.

But anything to pivot away from the Epstein Files amirite? There's a good MAGA boy.

Yeah, I don't think we should LET anyone shift the news cycle. "The president is a pedophile and everyone's actually talking about it, now!"

As it is with most things, it's complicated.
Late night TV has been losing viewers for years.
Hell, I am a big fan of most of them (Fallon not so much).
But I only watch bits on YouTube.
CBS is not replacing him; they are ending the Late show format.
And don't forget, conservatives don't have much of a sense of humor.

lol, I thought that hack Colbert had been off the air for years.

Mr. Swizz thought Colbert was dead, but the rest of us have had visions of him off and on for years.
Truly a resurrection-believing cult!

Perhaps Mr. Swizz could use some sort of rapture-like mechanism himself.
"Beam me back to reality, Scotty!"

I doubt they are anywhere close to losing money. It's the most popular program in its time slot.

I also have heard the show is owned by David Letterman and my guess is he can take the show anywhere else that will give it airtime.

I also guess this was part of the deal with the Trump administration to get the CBS/Paramount deal completed.

This and the 60 Minutes settlement stinks to high heaven.
