It seemed to me that She-Hulk had all the earmarks of a Kathleen Kennedy production, so I just went with it. Eh...you win some, you lose some:
I wonder if She-Hulk is/was-made-into a lesbian though?
Why did you give me a link to this post and who cares if a fictional character is a lesbian? 10% of the population is gay or lesbian. There should be representation in television/comics/books. Unless, you're MAGA, then I guess everything should stay in the closet like in the 50s.
I linked that one for my one line comment at the top which is part of the conversation regarding my misunderstanding of She-Hulk's origin and why I thought she was a recent Hollywood invention. Southpark brilliantly parodied Disney's continuing, lazy, money-losing practice of remaking established characters by swapping out their race, gender or sexual orientation, instead of focusing on developing new, interesting characters and stories. To answer my own silly, rhetorical question, though, apparently She-Hulk is not gay, but her best friend Nikki Ramos is. So, not surprisingly, I was in the ballpark of a valid, educated guess. For the record, I think its fine to have movie characters of any race, gender or sexual orientation. I just think they go overboard and are a little too obsessive about it, to the exclusion of good storytelling. We've seen the same thing happening in recent
Star Trek and
Star Wars productions and others.
The question I have is why did you feel the need to educate me about She-Hulk's origins when three
Comic Book Guy archetypes in this thread already lectured me on that months ago? Just piling on, or as a wise man once said, "you felt the need to imply you really aren't good at reading"?
