Seeking an alternative to a censorious platform does not mean you are seeking a safe space 'from' it. Seeking a platform that will not censor you is not seeking a 'safe space'. It's seeking a platform that will not censor you. Maybe Parler is that platform, maybe it isn't, or maybe it's closer to being that platform than Twitter is.

Like seriously, it's a platform where the only thing a user on it can do is speak. If people are getting banned for what they are doing on the service, they are getting banned for their speech and/or opinions. There is literally nothing else users can do there but share "speech and opinions".

Twitter does not censor "hate speech". You can say hateful things all day long on Twitter. What Twitter censors is certain kinds of speech that offends its sensibilities, whether that speech is hateful or not.
