Dude, under the TOS of this forum, you can be suspended or banned for the same reasons as Parler. Parler did not banned users for their opinion or speech.

Almost your entire raison de'tre with every one of your OPs is combatting what you see as discrimination, censorship, and hypocrisy yet you have little criticism for a decidedly right-wing site practicing all three.

If Parler has not lived up to its own stated standards, because it banned people for criticising Parler, that's sad. It makes Parler less good than it could have been.

My OPs are about the Orwellian, pants-on-head derangement of the expressed thoughts and beliefs of the Woke. I have never called for them to be censored. I want to discuss their derangement and point out how they are wrong and why, or sometimes merely to mock them.

So, wow. Didn't expect Metaphor to actually admit Parler was hypocritical. But when a "woke lefty" does something even apparently hypocritical (Say, DiAngelo...) Metaphor is immediately on their case about it. Parler censors and deplatforms people for being too liberal or speaking about the platform? Oh, that just makes them "less good!" And their ToS certainly don't inspire confidence in their creed; rather it completely contradicts their claims of an open and "safe/freedom platform "we can ban you for any reason, including NO REASON!"

Why? What process in your brain led you to think I'd have some kind of fanatic devotion to a particular tech startup?

But when a "woke lefty" does something even apparently hypocritical (Say, DiAngelo...) Metaphor is immediately on their case about it.

Why shouldn't I be? This board is non-stop bashing by people who are selective about their targets. But it is incumbent upon me to be ecumenical when I select who to criticise?

Wow, you simply cannot handle my actual thoughts, can you? I didn't say Parler was good or bad. I said it was less good than it could have been. I don't use it or follow anybody on it so I don't actually know what it's like. (I became a member to reserve a screen name/handle).

The Conservative-Loved Social Media Site Parler Is Being Overrun With Pornography

The free speech social media site Parler has blossomed into a mecca for conservatives, especially, especially in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidential loss. One problem, though: The service’s moderation is so limited that it’s in danger of being overrun by pornography. A new report by The Washington Post says that it’s in danger of becoming a “magnet for pornographers, escort services and online sex merchants,” which bait innocent users with hashtags like #keepamericasexy and #milfsfortrump2020.

In fact it was one such hashtag — namely #sexytrumpgirl — that shocked Parler users one recent night, when, the Post reports, “images of topless women and links to hardcore pornography websites appeared at a rapid-fire rate, often more than one per minute.” One minute a Trump fan could be ranting about disproven voter fraud, the next they could be sold, let’s say, a Jared-themed dildo.

Pornography has had a hard time with social media sites like Facebook and Instagram, which ban sexually explicit images. Parler used to ban it, too, but they recently revised their rules to allow anything that’s legal — including sexually explicit images of adults. Users can find pornography if they seek it, but there is now an influx of merchants. And unlike Twitter, which prevents excessive rapid posting, Parler has no such ban, leading to the #sexytrumpgirl headache.

While Parler wants to keep their open-door policy — it’s why conservatives have been flocking there in the first place — they also, says a higher-up, “don’t want to be spammed with pornographic content.” Meanwhile a professor of computer science at University of California at Berkeley had a grim warning for the service. “When you say, ‘We don’t moderate content,’ you are inviting this content,” he said, adding, “My prediction is they will be overrun with this stuff.”
