President Donald Trump—despite his alleged sexual activity with porn star Stormy Daniels, two divorces, lack of Biblical knowledge and a reputation for having a very foul mouth at times—has, ironically, become an icon of the Christian Right in the United States. His predecessor at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Barack Obama, actually has a long history of going to church and clearly possesses a greater knowledge of the Bible. Regardless, the Christian Right considers Obama an enemy and Trump a staunch ally—and with Trump in office, extremist groups are coming out of the woodwork more and more.

Here are some of the craziest far-right sects, organizations or Christian fundamentalist movements that are feeling empowered in the Trump era.

These are all seriously evil organizations. They share some scary common themes, like a christian theocracy and women as baby machines with no rights - not even to have their own bank accounts or email addresses in the case of #3..

Oh come on. You cannot really be this much of an idiot. I very clearly said that being offended was not a reason to oppose them. Whether or not I find them offensive is irrelevant. And unstated.

Twisting words to say things they don't actually mean might work for you when interpreting scripture, as the authors are not around to correct your false interpretations.

But it isn't going to work here.

For the record, I find many of their views offensive; But I recognise that that is both irrelevant and unnecessary as a reason to oppose their activities, as there are many other, far better, reasons to oppose them.

But of course, you knew that; And decided that as you had run out of ideas, a retreat to infantile nonsense was in order.

And it's further worthy of note that he said that as part of a debate on the then proposed 'Incitement to Religious Hatred Bill' at the Guardian Hay Festival, in 2005, long before the 'Trump Era' was even conceivable in anybody's worst nightmares.

Protests by Fry and many others over the wording of the Bill ultimately led to a House of Lords amendment that prevented merely offensive anti-religious language from being criminalised by the law, which was later passed as the Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006; unlike the original Bill, the Act as amended does not criminalise blasphemy.

We're not talking about fear of offending people. We're talking about spreading hate that results in real harm against real human beings. Because I'm not Christian, I think that hurting people is a bad thing, and I'm sorry if that offends you.

What is the current incarnation of  Positive Christianity? I heard that the World Church of the Creator splintered and/or had a name change, but with the rise of white supremacism in the nation, there has to be multiple denominations out there pushing Positive Christianity or something very much like it.
