I'd be remiss if I didn't hearken back to one of my all time fave Death groups, Amorphis:

Speaking of Candlemass, have you listened to Solitude Aeturnus? I believe Robert Lowe, S.A.'s vocalist, was originally in that band.
In case you haven't:

Branching out a bit here but any Type-O Negative fans?
Definitely, that's one of those bands I wish I would have gone to see when I still could.
RIP Peter Steele, you were one crazy dude.

Actually, it was the other way around, Robert Lowe was in SA long before he joined Candlemass. I do like SA as well, but for some reason I am not a huge fan of the Candlemass albums he fronted.
I think Ghost is pretty good, if you like melodic/theatrical/proggy metal. Known as Ghost BC in Rome. I mean the US.
Great cinematic footage bolsters this song by Rammstein:

*Not the official video, but I thought it impactful.
Here's two bands I've recently come across that you guys might enjoy. One of my friends at work told me about Caninus today. It's a metal band with two pit bulls providing the....vocals.
The the other one, Psychostick, I saw open up for another band last week. Their music style is called comedy metal, which sounds pretty weird but that's the best way to describe it. Their songs are just about goofy subjects, and there's a lot of improvisational comedy involving the audience in between songs. It seems to work because most of the crowd was laughing their asses off throughout their entire show.
