How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Your link says Russia was the aggressor.
Not in Crimea (GB/France were aggressors there) In other places technically yes, but in reality Russia was a liberator of oppressed christian population from Osman empire. Crimea was a russian land. Russia kicked muslim invaders out of Europe.
I see you are backtracking. This is effectively an admission you were the aggressor. "Liberating" is your standard pretext for war.
No, I am not backtracking again. GB and France invaded Crimea for no good reason other than to help Turks not to lose their possessions in Eastern Europe.
Cherry picking.

Turks lose their possessions to Russian invasion.

constantly invading proper Russia and burning everything including Moscow.
Imaging Canadians doing that.
The Canadians DID invade the USA, and they burned down the Whitehouse, along with a good part of Washington DC, on 24th of August 1814.

Don't they teach you anything in Russia?
I knew that, but they don't tech that in Russia.
So what did US do?
You realize that your educational system is tainted?

US Lawmakers Still Negotiating Ukraine Aid Deal as Holidays Near
The U.S. Congress is running out of time to pass a new aid package for Ukraine, as Senate lawmakers worked through the weekend to negotiate a deal for border security funding in return for Republican votes.

...
On the Senate floor Monday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, “Senate Republicans will not make up for others showing up late to the table by waiving our responsibility to carefully negotiate and review any agreement before voting on it,” alluding to Republicans’ criticism that the White House got involved in negotiations at a late stage.

McConnell also kept the timeline for a possible vote open beyond the holidays.

“I am encouraged by our colleagues’ commitment to keep making steady progress in their negotiations over the coming week and beyond,” he said.

...
Even if an agreement passes in the Senate, it likely would not survive in the House, where Republicans hold a very narrow majority. A significant group of Republican House members opposes additional aid to Ukraine, and the party recently voted out a speaker who partnered with Democrats to pass legislation.
Hungary blocks $54bn EU financial aid for Ukraine | European Union News | Al Jazeera - "Veto came hours after the European Union agreed to open membership talks with Ukraine in a move Hungary opposed."
Most EU leaders wanted this week’s summit to send a clear sign of solidarity with Ukraine amid perceptions, eagerly seized upon and repeated by Moscow, that allies’ support for Kyiv was waning.

Critics have accused the Hungarian leader of holding Kyiv’s survival hostage in a bid to force Brussels to release billions of euros in EU funds frozen amid concerns about Budapest’s commitment to the rule of law.

In what some saw as a last-minute concession, the European Commission, the EU’s executive, agreed on Wednesday to unblock 10 billion euros ($11bn) of the money.

A further 21 billion euros ($23bn) remains out of Orban’s grasp, but he denied that there was any link to Hungary’s intransigence over Ukraine.

“That’s not our style,” he said.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán thinks of himself as a "Western values conservative", "Western values" apparently including loving Russian imperialism.

Top US Lawmaker 'Very Optimistic' on Ukraine, Border Deal - Sen. Joe Manchin
Three Senate negotiators — independent Kyrsten Sinema, Democrat Chris Murphy and Republican James Lankford — met Saturday and were to meet again Sunday in search of a compromise that would also include aid for Taiwan.

All three cited progress after the Saturday talks, Politico reported.

EU, Ukraine to Soon Outline Framework for Kyiv’s Accession Talks
The European Commission reported last month that Ukraine had fulfilled four of seven recommendations for EU accession negotiations, including hiring anti-corruption officials, preparing the judiciary for a major overhaul and aligning media legislation with EU standards.

Seen elsewhere. No confirmation at this time.

3 days of almost unmitigated disaster for Russia.

Ukraine estimates, Russian losses as:

3480 men, 104 APC's, 78 tanks, 90 artillery guns, and 132 other vehicles.

Just an entire mechanized brigade, plus extra artillery.

Russia has taken no notable ground in that time.

Looking at drone video here. Ukraine's drone offensive seems to be quite effective and surprisingly accurate against Russian forces.

Are we seeing a replay of the battle of Kursk? Russia lost far, far, far more men and equipment but still won the battle. I hope that is not the case here.

There are videos of russian drone attacks which are as impressive.
You can't judge overall state from the selected footage.
Zele-Hitler recently admitted that Ukraine is losing men at a rate 20K/month. That gives you overall picture.

Source? Nevermind, your BS never has a proper source.
Meanwhile, the US estimates a total casualty rate for Ukraine at about 131,000. And a total casualty rate for Russia at about 341,000.
Named dead Ukrainian soldiers stands at about 17,500, but identified and named dead Russian soldiers stands at 37,000.
And Russian casualties over the past month have averaged at 931 per day which is still higher than the 20k/month your unsourced and untrustworthy claim suggests for Ukraine.

You know, there is a good chance Russia is so corrupt that they don't even know how many troops they have lost.
UK intelligence thinks
Russia's traditional military has likely experienced between 180,000 and 240,000 personnel wounded and about 50,000 killed, the ministry said, while the Wagner Group has likely seen about 40,000 wounded and 20,000 killed.
But of course UK defense ministry also thinks...
"Even amongst Russian officials there is likely a low level of understanding about total casualty figures because of a long-established culture of dishonest reporting within the military,"
Russians are so steeped in lies and misinformation they can't help but be wrong about just about everything.

US parrots what ukro-nazi say, and they simply reverse numers.
So it's 341K for Ukraine and Zitler confirmed it publicly.
LOL, just not anywhere that you can link to or reference. Pathetic.
Pathetic is demanding links for something that is in the open.
Nazi regime openly blurted their losses when they said they need 20K new "recruits" every month.
Pathetic is quoting pathological liars in Ukraine and Pentagon, as if it is some kind of fact.

Your math does not make any sense and you know it.
