How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Barbos and the Russian people actually believe that they are victims. They believe that Nato is actually in Ukraine and is plotting to take over Russia. They actually believe that there are Nazis in Ukraine rounding up the "evil russian speakers".

Time to internalize and understand the truth that a person (or system) that can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.
Atrocities are definitely on deck, if they’re not being committed already. Let’s not act shocked, and certainly not when it happens here after 2024.

24 minutes into lecture. The guy should run for President of Ukraine, he can win :)
Can't he just declare it? Like he declared independence for a large region of Ukraine? Why bother running a fake election like in Russia?

NATO expansion is due to the inertia from the Cold War, where USSR had a curtain draped over a bunch of countries and the second those nations could break free from the USSR, they did. Russia and you keep droning on about what belongs to you, but the trouble is, you keep droning on about nations that want to be back with Russia, that actually don't. It is as if former KGB man Putin is still butt hurt over losing the Cold War.
That was not a question, it was a statement in the form of question.
I just find that telling when West starts bitching about Putin and his motives and thinking when asked about NATO expansion. It sure looks like NATO expansion is due to Putin and his "regime" alone :)

Totally agree.

Don't know about that but at 24 minutes he sure looks like he is running for President of Ukraine :)
Also Lukashenko should not be too happy either, because all that criticism of Ukraine applies to him as well.

32 min. Talks about Ukrainian nukes. I don't think this threat is even remotely realizable. US will not let them do it.

I will finish watching it later. But so far I am pretty happy with presentation.
And he looks sharp for his age. I mean he obviously reads it, but he clearly understands all the details of the speech. Whatever doping he is using he should share it with Biden.
Most of the stuff he is saying is not new to me and IS common knowledge, but some of it It is interesting and new.

Well, when announcing you want to take over a portion (for now) of it, helps to try and win the "hearts and minds".

Well, I'm glad you are having fun with it. Based on the press, the people in the region being taken over by "peacekeepers" is quite tense and uncertain.

Lukasheno is a president of Belarus, in case you did not know.
And you can't know how tense it is in rebel controlled Eastern Ukraine because there are no western journalists there.

Yes... "President".

Of course not. We only have your and Putin's word on it. You are being lied to by the Russian Government. Ukraine is far from a Utopia, but Putin is lying his farging arse off about it.

I am well above average at detecting lies, and I've said it million times, I don't watch russian TV. I use russian and western internet sources. They are way less biased and more reliable.

The name Ukraine and a separate govt suggest it is not part of Russia. If Ukraine was called Russia and did not have a separate govt, then that would suggest it was part of Russia.
Historically Ukraine is part of Russia. The name of the country even suggests that.
They have been "independent" for only 8 years, since 2014.
And???
And Ukraine does not have 400,000 year old history.
This is stupid. No one said that.

Nothing you've said changes the fact that Ukraine is an independant nation now and Russia has absolutely no right to annex one inch of the nation. The fact that you've been gulled by your own government into believing their bullshit should really piss you off, not continue to spread the bullshit. But I supposed self-introspection is a step too far for you.

Serbia is independent nation too. Did not help them.
So is Cuba.
And Ukraine is currently not an independent country. It's totally dependent on US and EU. And before that they totally depended on ..... Russia. Technically they still depend on Russia (because of gas transit payments)
