• Welcome to the Internet Infidels Discussion Board.

How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

What was bothersome was just how Web Board that conversation was.

Troll: *previously debunked idea* We need diplomacy.
Zelenskyy: We tried diplomacy after Crimea and Russia violated that agreement.
Troll: *derail* Have you thanked Trump today?
Zelenskyy: Wha?
Troll: *make something up* You campaigned with Biden in PA, you aren't respecting the President who is trying to save your country.
Zelenskyy: *puts on ignore*

Here's a good even headed Triggernometry video explaining why Trump got angry with Zelensky
You are complaining about Facebook and YouTube, then post a link to YouTube?
I'm so fucking sick of today's media climate. It's not just that we're only exposed to biased news speaking to our base. But today, we're effectively shielded from reality. Unless we make an active effort to see other points of view. And this is harder than ever. Because Youtube and Facebook are invisibly filtering out the stuff you should see, in favour of the stuff you want to see. It's like everyone is delusional at the same time. And we have no way of knowing who's the most delusional. Is it me? Who the fuck knows?!? This is in a time where we have more access to correct information and fact checking than ever before. But how the fuck do you fact check stuff if it's unclear what needs to be fact checked, and what fact checkers are reliable?
I noted early last week that the Zelenskyy flying out to meet with Trump for the mining agreement sounded "suspicious" (this is before the meeting). Having Zelenskyy fly out to Trump was passive-aggressive.

Then they decided to hold a public meeting with everyone... before the signing? WHY?! There is absolutely no reason for that.

Finally, Zelenskyy is being trolled, he roles with it, but then VP Vance goes for it all, when he suggests "diplomacy". VP Vance's statements were trolling, lies, and intended to incite a reaction. This is extremely unusual for the VP to be the attack dog in person. Zelenskyy notes that Russia violated diplomatic agreements already... and then Vance pulls the emotional derail. Trump doesn't really get going until Zelenskyy makes the note of VP Vance speaking loudly. That is what triggers Trump? This is wasn't triggering, this was all intentional. They dragged Zelenskyy out to DC so as to create this public spectacle.

What makes matters even worse, as noted above is just how Web Board that conversation went. Then Trump suggests Zelenskyy doesn't want peace, when Trump noted one of the benefits of this mining deal was that Zelenskyy could "fight on".

That's hilarious, considering that democrats went bananas over Russian ambassador passing (unknowingly) by some Trump official at the official meeting where russian ambassador was officially invited.
After RussiGate you have no right question Vance criticizing Elensky for meddling in US elections.

Then they decided to hold a public meeting with everyone... before the signing? WHY?! There is absolutely no reason for that.
You do realize, that Zelensky is the one who insisted on flying to Washington to sign that meaningless deal?
Right after Macron and Starmer separate visits to convince Trump to start WW3.

They dragged Zelenskyy out to DC so as to create this public spectacle.
He had been asking to be dragged for a long time, even during Biden administration, but they were stuck with him.
You need to be more careful with your puppets, sometimes they go berserk.

Yes. Perhaps this is too complicated of a concept to grasp for you?

It's theatre. They're both playing roles. But Zelensky is a better actor

Honestly I’ve only seen the kerfuffle. I’d have to watch more of the meeting to find fault with Zelensky. It’s going to take a lot for me to get past my opinion that Trump and Vance wanted this to fail and Vance was used as the primer to that end.
That Trump’s lowbrow followers cannot view the world in terms other than, “what’s in it for me”, is no excuse for this US administration not to do all it can to put an end to this war. Trump's paln to put an end to it now is to starve Ukraine of the ability to fight back. What a plan: the prospect of being slaughtered.
Regarding Facebook/YouTube etc, I cannot understand why anyone would use those as a source of news. I’ve always found Reuters the most objective source for news. YouTube is for entertainment, music, etc as far as I'm concerned. What this infatuation is with posting up YouTube opinion pieces is beyond me. I have next to no familiarity with Facebook or any other social media save for this forum and I think I'm the better for it.

The point of his video was to give context and explain what each player was saying and why they said it. Konstantin Kisin is pro Trump. But not in the way that he thinks Trump is great. More that he thinks that Kamala Harris would have been very bad for USA. Which seems to be the main reason anyone voted for Trump. Isn't that so?

No, I can easily grasp when someone is being inconsistent.

Except Zelenskyy didn't really fight back. He realized the Trump/Vance Gallop was on and he had little place to go. He didn't resort to a tantrum. Didn't shout out "How dare you! We've been fighting the Russians for three years..."

Zelenskyy simply asked about how a diplomatic solution was going to work as Russia violated the last one... rather badly. The context is, Ukraine wants some assurances that Russia is done invading. Vance responded with an emotional plea and how unfair Zelenskyy was in not being kind enough to Trump (who technically hasn't done shit for Ukraine... in fact tried to use military support for Ukraine as a carrot to get Zelenskyy to announce a fake investigation in the Bidens).

Pretty sure Zelenskyy knows damn well that Trump is 100% pure Putinista - just a Kompromatted Puppet.
He only showed up to try to make that fact apparent to the American public. And it was working well enough to throw Trump and his extra asshole into an overdrive display of pearl clutching and demanding adoration.
DISGUSTING.

After RussiGate you have no right question Vance criticizing Elensky for meddling in US elections.

After recent events such as Trump destroying alliances with Mexico, Canada, Ukraine, and NATO; switching allegiance from Ukraine to Russia; and removing cyber operations against Russia, it is quite clear that RussiaGate was only the tip of the iceberg. Roger Stone wasn't merely talking to a Russian agent but he was getting directives from Trump himself. Trump is and always has been a Russian asset.

VP Vance takes a dump on Europe.
article said:
US Vice President JD Vance sparked European outrage Tuesday after he dismissed nations’ offers to send peacekeeping troops to a postwar Ukraine.

In an interview with Fox News, Vance said giving the US an economic stake in Ukraine would be a “way better security guarantee than 20,000 troops from some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30 or 40 years.”
Who is writing this guys lines? How much insult can you squeeze in there. Not only does Vance suggest America can provide Ukraine protection just through economic self-interest (he isn't suggesting a military base, which certainly would hold Russia off), and then tosses Europe in the shitter with the "random" country and implying their militaries suck.

And why are we talking about American economic self-interest in Ukraine? Wasn't that deal trashed... a deal that really wasn't worth much to the US to begin with?

For nothing.
Not so. Their sacrifice and their patience is giving great reward to their Dear Leader.
Russians are totally used to living as disposable assets of The State. Pointing out that they are nothing but cannon fodder makes them proud.

I understand that when a Russian retires from the military they are given a supply of vodka and borscht. For medical care they are given a large box of aspirin.
