How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

The Putin - Trump Alaska meeting will be interesting. I'll bet that Putin will continue to not agree to any reasonable concessions. And the war will continue. I hope that I'm wrong. But Putin loves to yank Trump's chain. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that international law requires Putin arrest for child kidnapping and war crimes? Not that Trump recognizes international law.

The U.S. is not a member of the International Criminal Court—thus, zero risk of Putin being arrested on U.S. soil (or, obviously, being extradited to The Hague, or anywhere else.)

You didn't specify "panchenkodiana" in your initial complaint. Are you intentionally dense?
None of the channels you posted belongs to any kind of Panchenko.
They deleted her channel with 2.1 million subscribers for no other reasons other then her disagreement with current regime in Kiev

"some swapping of territories to the betterment of both"
-Donald I'm Full of Shit Trump

"Swap"? Swap what for what?
US gets Western Ukraine, Russia gets Alaska back
So that would give Canada the right to attack the now Russian Alaska?
No.
Why not? When Russia sold Alaska to the US, Russia agreed Alaska would no longer be a part of Russia. You broke that agreement which, by your own logic with Ukraine, gives Canada the right to invade.
Alaska sale was a result of Illegal invasion of British into ..... Crimea. Hence it's null and void. Moreover since Canada belongs to UK and UK should be punished for their illegal invasion into Russia, I propose transfer of Canada to Russia as reparation.

What is the legal basis for claiming that Alaska belonged to the Russian king in the first place? At the time of the "sale", Russia had never so much as stepped foot in most of the territories they claimed to own there, and there were dozens of independent nations within that suppsoed territory who had by no means accepted Russian "ownership", and in many cases were barely aware that Russia existed. The Romanov crime family's claim to Alaska was delusional to begin with, like most European claims in the Americas, fanciful lines drawn on a fanciful map, that only other European nations and colonies would consider the least bit valid. You can't just draw a line on a map in Sharpie and call that legal title, especially if there are other parties with a much more solid prior claim.

I obviously am not a Trump fan. But I will say that he is trying to stop the war. Friday will be very interesting. Call me insane, but I'm hopeful. The difficulty is that Russia can't really be trusted. They violate peace agreement after peace agreement. If a reasonable truce is found that Ukraine can live with, the rest of the west must be prepared to send massive arms and support to Ukraine if Russia violates it again.

Unfortunately Trump is predisposed to give Putin anything that monster wants because Trump adores him. Trump is predisposed to screw Ukraine because of the impeachment. Trump is easily manipulated by Putin. Trump is a simpleton.

You are living in Bizzaro world. It's Trump or rather his advisers who want to continue or rather postpone war and regroup.
And it is US who can't be trusted. And it is Putin who wants peace and who gave so many opportunities of settlement to US.
But again, the neocon plan is in the open - destruction of Russia using proxies. It just has not gone according to plan, so far at least.
I hope Putin does not give anything and insists on demands that he has made.

Poland is deporting ukrainian nazifugees (and few Belorussians ) for displaying ukro-nazi flags on concert in Poland

Is it now finally time for NATO to put boots on the ground? If Putin gains territory in Ukraine, then Russia will obviously just keep going.

If Ukraine doesn’t win the future will be a hell of a lot more dangerous

If Putin really didn't want war he wouldn't have invaded in 2014. He obviously wanted war.

Only stupid people think that an aggressor who sends troops and weapons into the territory of a peaceful neighbor wasn't looking for war.

Of course there are plenty of truly stupid people out there.

Plenty of NATO boots there already. If Russia does not stop NATO scum in Ukraine we would have NATO in Russia.

It started in 2014 when NATO invaded Ukraine.
And Putin did not want war in 2014 not in 2022. He wanted Ukraine to obey agreements they signed.

NATO did exactly that in 2014 and before that when they were sending troops to prop up chechen terrorists in Russia.
