How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Again, you are not a student of European history. Read up on Yugoslavia and then I'll debate you.
NATO according to your own logic had no right to involve itself with sovereign country named Yugoslavia.
Moreover pretext they used was a lie. Same as with Iraq, Vietnam, .......

Again, read up on the conflict. Educate yourself first. Then start a new thread, and I'll engage.

And it's irrelevant. Even without all that nazi shit Kiev does, they still don't have a right to prostitute themselves with Russia's enemies. It's a question of Russian security. Russia can not allow US in Ukraine, period!
You can be all great and beautiful and we still will have to fuck you up if you decide to have US in your country.
Put that in your little heads. We know who you are! You are scum!

Of course. This is what an imperialist would say. You want to impose your will on others. You want to take away their choice
Fuck!
People in Odessa did not choose to burn themselves alive. Kiev regime chose it for them
People in Eastern Ukraine choose to speak russian, but it did not matter to your nazi scum!

Again, you need to educate yourself. I'm not going to continue to spoon-feed everything to you. Look at a map. Odessa is a city in Ukraine. It is not a Russian city. What happens in Odess should be decided by Ukrainians. Period end of story.

That's rich coming from american.

What happened in Odessa is a direct result of ...... american involvement in Ukraine.
In case you did not study that in your "history"
You are disgusting in your lame attempts to teach me my own history.

We did not invade Ukraine. We were invited by democratically elected governments of these republics to protect them from nazi regime US installed by a coup. And Ukraine never had any nukes in the first place.
Also NATO promised not to expand and broke that promise so any hypothetical promise by Russia is null and void.
Yikes. I'm at a loss at how to reason with someone who would state and believe the above. I've had more sane discussions talking with Branch Davidians.

This is why NATO needs to be dramatically strengthened to avoid more war with Russia. They have an imperialist for a leader with an incredibly naive population that enjoys war for entertainment.
No, I am at a loss at how to reason with you who state ridiculous BS.
The war was started by nazi you installed in Kiev. Current regime in Kiev has no legitimacy in Eastern Ukraine. Eastern Ukraine was not even participating in elections, forget about illegality of banning non-nazi candidates.
That because it was under control of Russia. Russia illegally invaded those areas in 2014.

If the parts of Eastern Ukraine were allowed to vote it would have made no difference to the outcome. Zelenskyy was overwhelmingly the choice of Ukraine.

Or did you think it would be a cake walk like so many of the troops did? Over in a week or two?
It is common knowledge that we thought that Kiev regime would crumble immediately.
We did not take into account level of ukrainian corruption.
It was corruption that routed the Russian invasion and the tank column that got almost totally destroyed?

Yep! And no, it did not destroy anything.

And you know why was that?
Yes, because he got more votes than could be overcome by the votes of the occupied territories.

No, he got elected becasue he promised to settle war with Russia and allow russian language.
...
After he got elected, he suddenly forgot about these promises after Nuland nazis told him that he is a dead man if he does not.

It does not matter. They voted that they want to speak and actually be in Russia as before.
Then why didn't they just pack their bags and make the very short trip to the Russian border and leave?

There is no need to pack anything. Land is russian, they are russian, they voted to be in Russia and that's was the end of it.

But that's a great idea, go and tell that to people of Kosovo. Considering that they are in fact invaders(the land is actually serbian)

Well, I too didn’t initially think they would prove so resilient, but I can’t believe you’re crediting that resilience to corruption. Corrupt governments usually collapse quicker. Indeed it’s the endemic corruption in Russia, especially in your defense industries, that has stymied your efforts.

Russia is a weak country. Without nukes, you’d be overrun by NATO in a matter of weeks, and many in your country would be grateful. You should revolt against this fool who’s led you down the march of folly to endless war. Better to kill him than see another 10,000 soldiers die in the coming months.

You demonstrate utter ignorance of how things work in Ukraine and Russia.
Nazi regime in Kiev is only alive because top people are interested in keeping it alive in order to steal money they are being thrown by the West. And the west knows it, that's how corruption works here. Same happened in Afghanistan where you were throwing money at them and closing eyes at theft. The moment you announced leaving it collapsed.
Now, about Russia. Russia does have corruption but it is not concentrated in defense industry. Certainly not in established part of it. It usually involves small outside contractors providing minor services like food and construction. If it comes to weapons then there is absolutely no corruption, all arm manufacturing is state owned, period.

Ukraine as a country was on the other level in terms of corruption before the war, after the war started they went couple of levels higher. People doing mobilization (kidnapping poor bastards from the street) are openly driving Lamborghinis and Porsche.
And it works, as long as there are insane money to steal they will keep sending poor bastards to die.
Everyone is stealing money, middle level commanders are actually distributing salaries to ordinary soldiers. And there were cases where they sent people to certain death in order to take their money by reporting them as alive.
And Pentagon assholes know that and they don't care. As long as it continues to hurt Russia even a little bit they are fine, does not matter how many ukrainian men die. Ukrainian puppet regime sold their own people to neocon scum.

Bullshit. At present time EU has no armed forces even remotely capable of conducting operations against Russia.
US does have some but it will fail too. You are a victim of stupid neocon propaganda.
Americans have not fought peer army since WW2. If fat american bastards decide to invade Russia they will quickly find out that their air support, tanks and sattelite links do not exist anymore.

But let's assume you are right and Russia is weak, then what about this constant "Russia is going to invade Europe, USA"?
what is that?
Russia is not in the state of mobilization. Amount of forces is still relatively small and they all went there willingly now.
Ukraine has a forced mobilization where people are being kidnapped from the streets.
