How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

 
 
 
Trump to lower tariffs on India after Modi 'agrees' to stop buying Russian oil
Supposedly India will stop buying Russian oil and Trump's America will drastically cut it's tariffs on Indian imports.
Google says this is a major blow to Russia. China and India purchase the bulk of Russia's oil. So not only will this leave Russia with India's 1.6 million barrels per day on its hands, China can further turn the screws on the price they pay.
I sure hope this is as bad as it sounds for Russia.

Yea, it's a good step. Again, Trump is finally seeing that Russian has no intention of peace. They came out today and said that they'd allow international peace troops in Ukraine, as long as they aren't from any other country except for North Korea and Russia! I've said it from day one, this war will continue until either Putin dies or enough economic levers are pushed to finally bring Russia to the table.
 
So the Dickstain-in-Chief has given up on getting his good buddy Putin to cooperate with a peace. So what's Dickstain doing? Nothing at all. Dickstain is a Dickstain. Has he finally realize that Putin will not cooperate with Dickstain's ego boost?
 
And yes, I am against peace. Peace without Regime Change in Ukraine and Europe is merely postponement of a bigger war.

Russian Army does not use Starlink for anything other than drones.
But ukro-terrorist on the front line were left without communication when they forgot to re-register.

Putin is deluded. They are upset because the sanctions are getting tighter. And this is hampering Russian war goals. Will boo hoo boo. There should be zero relaxation of sanctions until Russia stops killing people. Stop the war, sanctions over. Keep going, sanctions need to get worse. Yes, Trump has dramatically agreed to opening up trade with Russia. Many Russians and the Trump family will get very very rich. But this won't happen until the war ends, and there are security guaranties that Ukraine won't get attacked again.
 
Meh, it is just theater. The US stopped supporting Ukraine, which is what matters most on the ground. Putin likely isn't liking the speed in which this is going, but Trump has helped a bunch on the front lines.

Besides, this fake speak allows for the following, 'we're coming closer to an agreement' BS that we seem to cycle through now days. Wasn't an agreement allegedly a done deal not a few months ago?

Even Trump is figuring out Putin's a petty thug that no one can come to terms with. And Putin and his Tony Soprano mindset, can't work a deal even when I'll bet dollars to doughnuts Trump made favorable comments to Putin in Anchorage about getting Ukraine to come around. No, Russia continues to not only pursue this war, it does so with the most egregious violations of decency that are splayed out on the news regularly. And this is what Trump does not want. He knows there's no way to spin this as Russia being the good guy or even there being cause on both sides. So what? Trump wants this to end before election season kicks into high gear. That's all. He couldn't care less about Ukraine but psychopath Putin won't even give an inch, anything for Trump to grab onto to turn this on Ukraine.
I hope mainstream news carries this hard throughout the summer and Trump fumes at Putin.

I doubt it. His lizard brain detects something vaguely wrong with the "deal" he gets from Putin, but he is too fucking stupid to figure it out beyond the fact that Putin has dirt on him and can still hurt him on the PR front.
 
I'm bemused that anyone thinks Putin and Trump are at odds. We've done this before.

This is like the moment 'Trump became President' in his first term.

Russia holding dirt on Trump is always a wildcard but I have to put that in the speculation file. My thoughts are based on the observation that Trump will ultimately take care of Trump, that is in the factual file. Right now Trump wants the 2026 elections to go his way so by hook or by crook that will be done. He is not going to rely solely on subverting the elections. So anything that might help Trump, he'll do. He'll look at polling on Ukraine. He'll look at polling on immigration, etc. From there he'll do what needs to be done until November.
 
Meanwhile, deputy of one of the guys negotiating with US regime and its ukrainian puppets in UAE, assassinated by ukrainian agents in Moscow is going to survive and and seems doing rather well. 2 perps were caught. One of them flew to UAE (of all places), but UAE authorities extradited him promptly. Third person (a woman) managed to get to Ukraine.
