How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

I was just curious to know if you had heard of these rumors.
I do not listen to rumors.
The news I read said that young men in Russia are seeking to go flee to Kazakhstan and other places because they fear a general mobilization will be ordered after the September elections.
You are asking a wrong person.
I am not familiar with anyone who either left or thought about leaving, not now not in 2022.
But then I don't know any people in that demographic, that is young people who have ability to work abroad (IT people)
You should worry about ukrainians who are being kidnapped on the streets.
Again, since when do you care what I say?

Please keep posting this winter, barbos, so I know you're okay.
That's fucking rich coming from Regime in Kiev who came up with the idea of 40 day of strikes on Russian Energy infrastructure.
You fucking assholes started it.

Which army was it again the crossed the Russia/Ukraine border on February 24th, 2022?

Remember back in the 80s when Afghanistan invaded the USSR? Poor Russians are just everybody's victims.

And I do value your opinion. You’re not always wrong.
I occasionally lean towards this opinion. And then he accuses @TV and credit cards of being "Regime in Kiev who came up with the idea of 40 day of strikes on Russian Energy infrastructure", when @TV and credit cards has not, as far as I can tell, even visited Kyiv, much less been invited to advise Ukrainian military strategy; And I realise that barbos is simply incapable of making rational responses, at least on the topic of this war.

The most charitable explanation I can come up with is that it's a deliberate "Crazy Ivan" technique, intended to imply the threat of unreasoning agression at even the slightest hint of disagreement; This was a Soviet policy in the Cold War, and was an effort to give the nuclear deterrent some utility in influencing enemy governments, in an environment where first use of nukes is clearly an ansurd overreaction to anything short of a full scale invasion of NATO.

"Don't mess with us, we are a bunch of crazy Froot Loops" is not a completely stupid threat to make, particularly when you don't have the actual strength to make more reasoned and rational threats. But I eat Froot Loops for breakfast.

At this point, it's just embarrasing.

Dude, you are so wrong on both counts.
US crossed afghan border BEFORE we did, same with Ukraine.

Learn to read context. I was replying to his quote of Budanov. And called that quote rich.

Speaking of Fruit Loops, here once again is the Russian Federation's Head Fruit Loop, Dmitry Medvedev
“If it is implemented, it will be a global catastrophe, a planetary one. They are not fools. But Lithuania will disappear from the world map.”
This in response to Lithuania wanting to strike from their constitution the provision that weapons of mass destruction would not be deployed on their soil. This is due to the current instability Russia created in the region, that in a crisis situation, Lithuania will allow this deployment.

Barbos, you can spew from now until hell freezes over your opposite is true narrative. No one in the west is going to buy your bullshit. We can pick through what you say and easily verify or more often times than not, discredit your claims. Actually it's come to the point of just dismissing most of what you say out of hand.

Is there an ounce of truth when SLD says we "poked the bear too much"? Yes, but tough shit. Russia could have tried taking a path more along the lines of what China did when they turned their country into an economic powerhouse. This is where a people shows the world what they're made of. Japan did. China did. And I guess Russia did too. Russia did what Russia does best, complain that a path forward was not cleared enough by others, was not swept clean of all obstacles. Now, like a child, we will lash out at our neighbors and complain it's the United States fault. You made us do this. Fuck you.
But it wouldn't have mattered would it? Corrupt government eventually creates a corrupt society. You have a cancer of corruption within your society where anyone and nearly everyone will grab all they can by whatever means given half a chance. This is what is defined as opportunity in a corrupt society. And it is incredibly difficult to reverse, to get enough honest people in all the right positions to move a nation forward and show its people fairness and working together is the way.
Russia has $75 trillion dollars in natural resources and has had plenty of western help in the extraction and refining of those resources.
And you still piss it all away.

Yes, but tough shit. Russia could have tried taking a path more along the lines of what China did when they turned their country into an economic powerhouse
You are demonstrating your utter ignorance again.
Japan was and still is occupied by US. And China was used as a sweatshop in accordance with US plan too.
The fact that they managed to go further is their achievement of course but it is your mistake too.
Russia by law was not allowed to import technology from the West. US plan for Russia was using Russian resources ..... that is after taking control of it. This plan has failed too.
This in response to Lithuania wanting to strike from their constitution the provision that weapons of mass destruction
If I were you, I would not be mentioning Baltic States idiots.
Russia has $75 trillion dollars in natural resources and has had plenty of western help in the extraction and refining of those resources.
We don't need your help, go away.

You go away. Stop invading countries. Stop threatening to nuke everyone. (The above bold is looney).

The difference between you and I is that I don't support all these wars. You do. I don't support the US war in Iran. I think that it's foolish, harming our economy, and making us weaker. You do support the Ukraine invasion and do not want peace. I want peace. I will say that the US will stop the Iran war well before your side returns home. When has the US threatened to nuke anyone? Russia threatens this daily. Do you want to me to send you links on this?

When has the US threatened to nuke anyone?
Last week? Trump threatens everyone all the time.
I'm comfortable in believing Trump is as much of a threat to the world as Putin. One is dangerous because he is an incompetent fuckup, the because they are amoral cunts.

The other big difference is Trump is easier to get rid of than Putin. Not easy, unfortunately, but easier.

Yea, I agree with that. But I don't support Trump. I'm against all his wars. I favor following international law. Trump doesn't. Putin sure as hell does not. Side note: I don't know why Barbos doesn't just love Trump?

The above bold is looney
Dude, after what you did with Venezuela?
I believe that you will have trouble finding anyone on this forum who doesn't agree with "What Trump did to Venezuela was a war crime!"
Same as the attack on Iran.
Tell everyone about how many Russians think that the attack on Ukraine is a war crime.
