This guy has gone absolutely, completely bonkers. To think that he actually was a 3 star general and served as national security adviser is a very frightening thought.

Here's my guess. This is part of the Republican-Politician-Prison-Complex. Republican politicians, soldiers, corrupt or ignorant people do something that lands them in jail, then they quadruple down on it, on religion and craziness, and that gets them either elected or re-elected as Republicans. It's a revolving door. So I think it means he's going to run for office.

Yes, he is bonkers, and obviously his beliefs about one religion for the country are in violation of the Constitution regarding freedom of religion. Some patriot, huh?

That said, why are we still clinging to the One Nation Under God crap (and In God We Trust or God Bless America for that matter) in the first place? Particularly as we grow more secular and atheistic every year? And what about the polytheists, who might prefer use of the term "Gods" rather than "God"?

No idea whether Flynn is a True Nutter, or just playing the fools (though I lean towards nutter). Either way, this seems to happen a lot to those who are phobic about white Americans loosing their near domination of American politics as it slowly peaks of the future horizon. Their shrillness probably is getting worse as more Americans become more comfortable with being non-religious as well...

Your error isn't that you expect logical consistency, it's that you don't understand the logical inconsistency is about protecting power and that further it extends to all things conservative, not merely religion.

It didn't used to say "one nation under god", just "one nation". If the "under god" part causes a problem then the logical conclusion is that it should be taken back out.
