Well, Trump is the one that was advocating a Second Amendment solution--and he's going back on an awful lot of what he said he was for while running.

Speaking only for myself, Trump is actually the only president elect that I have speculated in my own head about what would happen if he died before taking office. Or during office. Maybe it's because he reminds me of a low rent Hitler, only less intelligent and more egomaniacle. I dunno. Pence would not be better except that he is less successful at cultivating a cult of personality. Frankly I find Trump so depressing that I cannot even work up any enthusiasm for watching his supporters face reality over the next few years. And not just because I don't believe his supporters are capable of facing reality.

So the 20th Amendment, Section 3 (ratified in 1933) says:

If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.

That actually does sound like a Trump-designed funeral.
