Years ago, I used to hateread a site called feministing (I couldn't hateread it now, it's long defunct). Now, I don't think what I was doing was morally wrong (reading things isn't morally wrong), but deliberately working myself into a frothing frenzy of rage at how ridiculously stupid and hateful the arguments were on that site didn't really help me or anyone. So I stopped deliberately seeking it out.

There's another trap that I do fall into too often, responding to click-baity headlines (which are now rife across news media). In fact, I am trying to reduce my tendency to do that as well.
