It riles up the conservotards no end, when red people end up with Joe Sixpack's lunch money. Even when Joe freely offers it up.
They're supposed to go back to the dirt patch we white benefactors gave them out of the goodness of our hearts, and keep their filthy red hands off our beautiful green money.

it really seems to me tgat Derec's problem is no one ever told him he's special. No agency ever cut him a check (that everyone else wasn't getting), no grass roots movement ever advocated for him to be able to do something (that wasn't available to everyone else), no one's ever forced a restaurant chain to hew to his dietary preferences, no one's donated time and money in the cause of his age group, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation bumper sticker could do or have something unique to him, or a small group of hims.
The jealousy rages. Thus, any policy treating anyone different gives them 'special rights' he cannot access.

But the entire system already caters to his special desires and cultural expectations - what could such an organization advocate for?
