This isn't really anything new. Except maybe the gall.

The U.S. funds the Israeli military to the tune of billions of dollars per year, is despised by the people of the Middle East for it; and when the U.S. finally makes progress with Iran, thereby potentially ending the decades-long animosity, Israel is really pissed about it.

Granted, the Israel issue with the people of the ME is a gigantic red-herring for nations like Iran and Saudi Arabia. They can direct the ire of their people toward Israel whenever a serious two-minutes hate is needed.

Still, nearly any agreement reached with Iran is a step in the right direction for the U.S. and that region as a whole. And it freezes Israeli ass because should the U.S. and Iran ever actually become friendly, U.S. interests suddenly and undeniably weigh heavy in favor of Iran.

Sorry to be spotty here, but I'm in a hurry. Discuss or not.

I think the last line from the cited article exposes Netanyahu as a gigantic untrustworthy opportunistic hypocrite:
Netanyahu called on all sides to "put petty politics aside" and unite behind opposing Iran.

What's going on is that Israel can see that the deal with Iran is crap, far worse than no deal at all. (No deal means their frozen assets wouldn't be released.)

Israel is the biggest threat in the region.

It is directed by religious delusion by religious fanatics.

I reckon this is Obama's 'moment of gullible idiocy' which even exceeds Reagan's one when he dedicated the Space Shuttle Columbia mission to the Taliban.

I think it was this that convinced radical Islam that the West has finally 'lost the plot' and that the time was ripe to make its move.

That's going to upset ISIS.
When wars are perpetuated it means the fringe fanatics on one side are interacting with the others on the other side. However it would have been cheaper for Israel to purchase the Arab properties at inflated prices rather then continue the wars arising out of this.

They have no right to the land they are taking. They can't buy it.

But some god apparently has told them it is theirs so they want it very badly, even if they have to commit crimes to get it.

In other words Netanyahu is a politician.

No, Netanyahu is a statesman. Would that we in the West had one like him instead of the mediocrities we're lumbered with now!

He is a fanatic that causes more harm than good.

And the West has plenty of these idiots.

A country that can't find anyone better to lead them than Netanyahu has bigger problems than Iran.

FIFY :D

...and just like republican's who cannot support anything Obama comes up with, the Israeli leaders cannot support anything which gets Iran out of economic sanctions.

This deal means Iran gets a nuclear weapon.

Yep. That's exactly what it says. 159 pages of "you get a nuclear weapon" repeated over and over again.

The only question left is when they'll invade Poland.

If Iran wants a nuclear weapon, they'd get one with or without the deal. At least now they are slightly more inclined to settle for mere breakaway capability, and closer economic ties usually tend to make relations between countries more peaceful.
