That's utterly ludicrous as a comparison; just like you - every time I leave the house I run the risk of happening upon a nutcase; they're out there amongst us in some number because although they should be in care there are no care homes for the mentally ill.
No, it's a perfectly valid comparison. All the victims in this case were really doing was walking outside, on a street. They certainly weren't doing anything that should invite violence. Yet you decided to blame *them* instead of the person doing the stabbing. You decided it was *their* fault because they did nothing more than not hide their existence. If you lay the blame with them; then the blame also rests with you when *you* get stabbed for what is essentially the exact same reason.
