I think it is a bit odd. In Israel, if you take the Tanakh too seriously, you are Ultra. In the US, if you take the Old Testament too seriously, you are at worst an Evangelical.

Obviously the solution is more guns. It is important that we have unrestricted access to guns to that we can defend ourselves against people with knives.

Exile him to Gaza, he'll find like-minded friends there.

If he had been a Palestinian, they would have shot him the first time.

Guy needs to stay in prison.

Obviously he learned nothing from his first stint and did exactly the same thing upon his release.

Is there life in prison without parole in Israel?

Yeah, life without parole is the only reasonable outcome here. I have no idea whether the law permits it.

It just goes to show that not everyone 'celebrates' homosexuality? Provocateurs must expect unwanted reactions. If they didn't flaunt it they wouldn't attract extremists.

Really? Blaming the victims? All they did was walk around on the street, maybe wearing a pro-lgbt tshirt or sign while they did it. That's not "flaunting" it; and even if they *were* flaunting it, they have every right to do so without some psychotic asshole trying to stab them to death for it.

Of course it was flaunting! What else would you call it? As for the outcome - they there are lots of wackos out there . . . don't blame me!

Have you actually seen the photos? Because there is absolutely no way that they can be described as "flaunting" anything; it's all rather subdued. I didn't spot even a single gimp suit. All I saw were people dressed normally, and maybe carrying a sign.

And it's bizarre how you're getting upset that I'm blaming you, when *you* in fact are blaming the victims. You're the one saying that it's their own fault. Maybe if you ever get stabbed by someone, you'd appreciate it if we didn't blame you for inviting it by flaunting your existence by walking around on the street while a psychopath with a murderous rage for everything that moves was about. But hey, it'd be your fault for not getting out of the way of that giant knife he swung your way!

I was making a more general observation viz. gay pride parades (or 'freak shows' as I'm pleased to call them), and in that case I do 'say that it's their own fault'.

That's utterly ludicrous as a comparison; just like you - every time I leave the house I run the risk of happening upon a nutcase; they're out there amongst us in some number because although they should be in care there are no care homes for the mentally ill.

Thanks for identifying yourself as a hateful and anachronistic relic. It's remarkable how little awareness one would have to posess in order to utter such words today.

and in that case I do 'say that it's their own fault'.

Which is called victim blaming. And doing so is not okay.

No, it's a perfectly valid comparison. All the victims in this case were really doing was walking outside, on a street. They certainly weren't doing anything that should invite violence. Yet you decided to blame *them* instead of the person doing the stabbing. You decided it was *their* fault because they did nothing more than not hide their existence. If you lay the blame with them; then the blame also rests with you when *you* get stabbed for what is essentially the exact same reason.

To be honest I find your deployment of narrow-minded word games and insufferable liberal pedantry quite tiresome.

Oh the irony of someone who literally referred to a gay pride parade as a 'freak show' accusing others of narrow-minded anything. You *really* don't have any awareness at all, do you?

No, and I don't have any sanctimony either! But spare your misplaced concern for them - they actually regard themselves as freaks otherwise they wouldn't dress up and showboat themselves like they do.
