Killing of Michael Lee Marshall in Denver jail highlights horrific treatment of mentally ill

Give them a little time.

It's not like dirt on the victims just digs itself up you know.

We definitely need a different system for handling criminal crazies than regular prisoners.

Look, you have to expect if you walk around with dirty laundry that the police will consider you a threat.

Yes, I agree that we need to keep criminally crazy law enforcement officers in a different system althogether.

I also think that we need better ways of treating mental illness. And much better training for law enforcement who sometimes are called on to deal with people who are in serious trouble with regards to their mental health status.

You say better training,do you mean we have training?Sounds like a wild claim.

Make sure you separate the whites (laundry).
Problem solving vs problem avoidance.

Getting the man help is a problem that was not solved, but there is no longer a problem of getting that man help, so the problem has been avoided. Some might say the problem is solved since the problem is avoided, but that would be a looser meaning of "solved" than I am using.

Just curious, does separating the laundry solve or avoid the problem? It seems you prefer problem avoidance. But hey, it's just laundry, right?
