I presume that a lot of yanks will threaten to leave USA if Trump wins. They will most probably go to Canada. Why not Mexico? Isn't that racist to prefer Canada to Mexico?

(Or alternatively if Trump wins perhaps he can let those Mexicans he wants to kick out stay as they will replace the yanks who will leave thus maintaining the population?)

However, celebrities never follow up on their bluster. For example, Streisand did not move to Canada when Bush was elected, despite promising to do so. Ann Coulter did not campaign for Hillary Clinton when John McCain was nominated, despite promising to do so.

And Lena Dunham won't move to Canada if Trump becomes POTUS. It's all sound and fury signalling nothing.

For many, the US is a great place to be except those who are really poor or on the streets.
There are a lot of places worse than the US. My understanding is Trump wants only those who came in legally to stay and make it more difficult for illegal immigration.

I think the fact that they can just drive to Canada and don't need to get out of their cars to board a ship or anything makes all the difference. Even when they're scared and angry enough to abandon their own country, Americans are still fat and lazy.
