I can relate to the toilet paper stuck to the shoe thing, though. I was eating at a nice, huge Mexican restaurant in Santa Fe once, and used the men's room located at the far end of the restaurant just before heading out the front door to leave. There was a lot of water and TP on the floor for some reason. A long piece of TP stuck to my shoe (at least a foot long) and I walked to the front trailing it behind me. Nobody on my way through said a thing, until I got to the front and the host said, "Sir, you're trailing something." I think he was being kind of a wise guy, but I appreciated him letting me know while I was leaving and with no else around (except my dining companion). Thinking back on it, I'm glad a fellow diner in the restaurant didn't point it out (if it was even noticed) while I was walking through. As someone with social anxiety back then, I would have been mortified being the center of attention like that in the middle of a crowd.

Trump had policies? He had slogans, sure. But Trump lost the popular election. His electoral victory was by razor thin margins in rust belt states with high electoral vote counts. It was really the conservative white blue collar vote that helped him squeak through. Biden won both the popular and electoral college vote decisively, and you don't mention what drove that victory. Perhaps the middle class was tired of gobbledygook, lies, lack of empathy, dictator-worship, and incompetence of the twice-impeached nut that Republicans somehow managed to squeak into the presidency in 2016 on an electoral fluke.

Many of the important changes have been made by FCC decisions, usually decided by 3-2 vote. What went to China is low value jobs! The high value stuff is still here, or else is being done by robots. The robots have taken far more jobs than China.

All manufacturing jobs are high value added. Simply because manufacturers take a low value raw material and adds the high value (profit) of production to make something useful. With high value added manufacturing it is at least economically possible to pay high wages. And in Germany where labor unions still have power, high wages are paid for this labor.

And the robots have not taken more jobs than China. It is the Triffin Delemma coupled with good old fashioned political corruption that has taken more jobs to China. The reserve currency paradox has all but killed exports out of the US.

I'm trying to figure out which of your two posts were sarcastic, because if BOTH were sincere you're showing a giant cognition failure.

The correction from "toilet paper" to "small moist piece of paper" was so urgent that I needed to watch whoever (InfoWars?) instead of CBS. Yet it was all "about as relevant a news bite as Biden eating ice cream." (To take this at face value, I need to watch the Alex Jones segment on Biden's ice cream as well! )
