Maybe he acted alone but there is a pattern of attacks happening in countries such as Belgium which was once a very peaceful place. I lived there when I was at school. Even the bikes had no locks on and there were few on sale them. We can blame British Army soldiers and their children for changing the bike culture at least.

Given that an enemy just hacked at a soldier with a machete, and given that the reason Brussels is being patrolled by soldiers in the first place is ISIL bombed an airport and a train station there last year, you may have a hair-splitting definition of "combat" in mind. But let's go with that definition. So does this mean you figure whoever starts a war is automatically a terrorist? Were the Japanese Navy terrorists when they bombed Pearl Harbor? Was Stormin' Norman a terrorist because there was no combat in Kuwait when he started shooting at Iraqi soldiers?

It seems to me the whole point of making a distinction between terrorists on the one hand and rebels or insurgents or freedom fighters or whatever on the other is to express the principle that when to defeat your enemy you choose the path of violence, you're supposed to attack military targets.

Islam is still not a race.

And the assumption was not wrong. I specifically stated that it was about probabilities, not certainties. Most ramming attacks are by Islamists, but that does not mean every single one will be. But in aggregate, you are well advised to bet on "It's a Muslim".

It's not that they are black people, it's that millions of migrants are flooding into Eurpope (not just from Africa, but also Bangladesh and assorted -stans like Pakistan and Afghanistan). Those illegal migrants are very difficult to deport and they threaten to change the demographic and cultural landscape of Europe. For example, the percentage of Muslims in Europe is steadily increasing both through mass migration and mass breeding of Islamic migrants.
