Instead of trying to antagonize us, why don't you take this time to learn about fascism and what gives rise to it?
You do not need me to antagonise you. You yanks seem to do it fine by yourselves.
I know about enough fascism to recognise it and not get fooled into thinking that those who disagree with me are automatically fascists.
As to what gives rise to fascism, communist and all other isms it all those people who amongst other things, think that they know it all and want to be the boss.
(Original sin comes to mind)
I don't think you realize how many people who have actually been victims of fascist governments have been warning us that if Trump was reelected, we are on the brink of becoming a fascist state.
You might know a lot about fascism, but you don't live here. I doubt you realize the full picture of what has transpired over the past few years. Just like any historical fascist leader, Trump was able to build up his own cult. He did it by manipulating White evangelical Christians as well as scaring people by trying to paint the Democrats as far left socialists, among other things. He also had quite a large number of wealthy people who are only concerned about their own wealth and don't care about the good of the country. I wouldn't include them in the cult. They just support whoever they think will lower their taxes etc.
Trump abused the power of the presidency like no other president in my life. He surrounded himself with sycophants and dismissed anyone who didn't support his crazed ideas 100%. There was no room for any opposing views in his cabinet. Many of his cabinet members never went through the legal process of being approved by our Congress. I have no doubt that he was leading us down the road toward an autocracy. It saddened me to see otherwise decent people being pulled into his cult.
But, with all due respect, Tigers, if you are tired of us talking about our election, why are you engaging in a conversation about our election? Nobody is forcing you to think about our election. For that matter, I know plenty of Americans who never bother to think about our elections. Sadly, I've known plenty of Americans who never even vote or who only vote in presidential elections or in elections where they are excited about a candidate etc. So, if some Americans are able to ignore our elections, why can't you?
I hate that my country seems to be in perpetual campaign mode, but like it or not, it's been part of our culture for a very long time. We can either be obsessed with it, or ignore it when it's not relevant to our everyday lives. If it's bothering you, please do yourself a favor and ignore us. Our election is over but it won't be until January 20th that our new president is installed, and since the current president is such a poor loser, there will probably still be a lot of drama to deal with for the next two months.
