Can't the police takedown move where they body slam people be replaced with "get on the ground or I will tazer you"?
Some woman got the takedown move somewhere around Denver
She was tall thin blonde, then a semi conscious perp

Police said the technique used to take Surat down was “standard arrest control.”

Surat was taken to the Larimer County Jail where she was charged with third-degree assault and obstructing a peace officer.

CBS4 reached out to Surat for comment, and an explanation of her side of the story. Request for comment via phone calls and texts were not returned.

Not sure if there is any other video that could give more context if such a thing exists

I love the way they say the technique used to take Surat down was “standard arrest control”, as though that made everything OK.

If that's not true, then clearly the officer should be in deep shit for using non-standard and violent techniques when arresting people.

But if it IS true, then clearly the ENTIRE DEPARTMENT should be in deep shit for making violent techniques their standard when arresting people.

Hiding behind standard operating procedure simply doesn't work - if SOP is immoral, then that might allow the discredited Nuremberg defence to be available to individual cops, but only at the cost of exposing the entire department as immoral.

"Why did you commit an unnecessary and unprovoked assault on a citizen?"
"Oh, it's OK; We do that all the time".​

In the past couple of decades or more, the Shock and Awe technique has moved from the military to the police. The over-the-top, hyperaggressiveness is supposed to shock a suspect into indecisiveness and facilitate arrest and handling. This aggressiveness can be problematic, though, and is often misapplied.

If they'd been less forceful, it would have given her the opportunity to run over and grab one of those chairs and bash the cops' heads in with it. This was a good call on the part of the police and they deserve commendations while the thug should be thrown in prison for attempted murder.

this is an incident where a woman is in front of her boyfriend (in a red shirt) who shot at someone and then dropped the gun after the police told him to. She is obstructing the police and she was treated much more gently.

That was a very chaotic scene.

To be fair he did challenged the officer,"fight like a man".Dumb,but does it have to get out of control?The cop could have done a better job.
