Much ink has been spilled about the decline of the Republican Party’s support among women. The GOP lost the female vote in the 2018 midterm elections by 19 points, and President Donald Trump all but certain to lose that demographic once again in the 2020 presidential election.
But according to the Wall Street Journal, women are not the only major voting bloc that Trump has to worry about. He is also slipping among senior citizens.

Elderly voters backed Trump 52 to 45 in the 2016 election. But according to a WSJ/NBC poll taken in June, Trump’s approval with senior citizens is only 2 points higher than the national average — and these voters want him defeated in 2020 by a margin of 48 to 41.
Trump cannot win re-election without solid support from elderly voters. The WSJ/NBC poll finds that Trump’s approval with voters aged 18 to 34 is just 33 percent, and Democratic candidates have a broad package of policies attractive to younger voters like student loan forgiveness and climate action.

Younger voters, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z in the 2018 elections turned out in larger numbers than the Baby Boomer and Silent generation. Educated Suburban voters abandoned the GOP in drives.

The question is, when the numbers don't work for Trump come 2020, what will Trump do? What craziness will a desperate Trump resort to? By 2020, it looks like any Democrat could beat Trump. Sponge Bob Squarepants will be able to beat Trump in 2020.

The GOP's attacks on abortion, birth control, Planned Parenthood and Obamacare may very well energize Trump hostile women voters, ensuring an end to women voter apathy. The horrors at the border will energize the Hispanic voters as well.

Will Faux Nooz program hosts be committing hari kari on air the day after election day?

We'll have to wait & see. I think it's way to early to predict 2020 final results. I'd find any predictions of who the Democrats nominate questionable at this time. We'll have to see what the political mood in swing states is closer to the election before we can reasonably tell if Trump is likely going to get reelected or unseated.
 
Trump will win in a landslide. The majority of voters are turned off by the leftist ideas of socialism and communism. Those policies have failed everywhere. People who know history understand this. But, the younger generation doesn't understand history so they think socialism and communism is great. They have no clue.

The left wants the government to run everything, which is a proven disaster. Government will always mess up. Now Bernie wants to raise taxes to pay for medicare for all. AOC wants to raise taxes for carbon taxes. Americans are sick and tired of raising taxes for nonsense.

These people think medicare for all will fix everything. Sorry, it won't. You have a poor family waiting for surgery and a rich man walks into the hospital, pays the doctor 5,000 cash and he goes to the front of the line. Let's see how much people love medicare for all then.

I watched his town hall debate. He said your health insurance bills will go away and your taxes will be raised by a smaller increase than what you paid for your previous health insurance.

Sounds slimey. This means that if someone has health insurance coverage by their employer, their taxes will be raised more anyway. Now, these people end up paying more than they did under Trump!
 
Trump will lose in 2020 unless the Dems overreach. Unfortunately, that's exactly what Dems are fixing to do.
 
Overreach is Trump's middle name. By November 2020, Trump fatigue will assure Trump's defeat. Women have abandoned him. The younger voters already despise him. Old voters are giving up on Trump. Independents are not Trump friendly. Goodbye FFvC!

Trump’s strategy in the next election will be exactly like his strategy in the last one. Fire up his base and get everyone else so disgusted by the entire thing that they just don’t want to participate at all and then try to squeak through at the margins.

If it were a country other then America, that would be a really stupid strategy, but you people are frigging dumb.

While I don't usually agree with Half Life, he's correct this time. Bernie did finally admit during the last debate that taxes would have to be raised on the middle class in order to support M for All.
 
Bernie has also proposed a very small tax on stock trades. 0.02% Programmed electronic traders can sometimes make hundreds of trades a day for large sums of money. I note the Republicans have no qualms about sin taxes on beer and wine and alcohol.

Sadly that is quite accurate.

Trumpty Dumpty could certainly win in 2020 and it all depends on who the Dems have on their ticket. I certainly hope that whoever it is has enough emotion and intellect to address Trump's stupidity head-on, and not play PR like Hillary did.

You have to tell the fuck-stick he's a fuck-stick, and do it with enthusiasm. People like a champion that will fight. You have to use phrases like Don the Con and Idiot in Chief, Putin's Puppet. You cannot let his hate go unanswered. You have to make him small. Without being a bully yourself you have to let him know he is just another run-of-the-mill punk.

Yeah they asked the same loaded question to all the candidates, and all of them tried to clarify that while it would put more money in the pockets of taxpayers, it would do so by lowering or eliminating premiums and deductibles, and increasing taxes by less than what was thereby saved. Bernie was a little too straightforward with his answer.
