One of his last official acts was snubbing JD Vance and having his deputy lecture him on being an arsehole. Despite him being a Pope, I found myself agreeing with him more often than not.

And Kenneth Copeland is still alive, further reinforcing religion is bullshit.
 
Orr, we could have a conclave like the recent movie.
 
They should simplify the process and let the world's foremost Christian -- Trump -- pick the next Pope. No DEIs!! Only merit!!! It would be Mel Gibson, naturally, and the papal election would soon be followed by The Resurrection of the Christ, which could premiere at the Vatican. I see only good results from this, for the future of the faith. Call your local priest and urge him to Go Mel.
 
Pope Francis proved the Pope is merely the figurehead of the leviathan Catholic Church.
 
I've been saying since I woke up this morning that after meeting JD Vance, the pope decided he had nothing to live for, so he asked his god to please take him now.

The guy has been doing this stuff his entire life, devoted his life to the Catholic Church. JD Vance is a newbie who likes the old school shit for whatever reason.

Him telling the Pope about the old guard reminds me of a new out of college employee who knows how to run things better than the people in charge and wants to have a few words.
 
I think a lot of people were in favor of Vance at the Vatican, you know, the conservative wing. That includes the old Pope, who is still alive and whose remaining power in the church is a mystery. I think we will see a rightward shift now. Vance may even come home with stories about how there was some kind of agreement.

For all the talk of Francis being "progressive," the truth is he's not some outsider from left field who lucked into the papacy. It's not like he was on record as calling Ratzinger "the Vatican's Hitler" and he only got to be Pope because he abased himself before the one guy who could give him a job.
 
Apparently, Vance DID meet with the Pope on Easter Sunday. The Pope then died. Jimmy Carter died right after Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 Presidential election. Coincidence? I don't think so......
 
And of course, Marge weighed in. I'm a fallen away Catholic but I respect my family and friends who still are fairly devout. But I think for Marge's statement to be true, Trump would have been the leader who died.

Jesus. That's high on the kook meter, even for Marjie. Maybe she can have the equivalent of Roseanne's Planet of the Apes moment, but I know that's expecting too much.

Her statements aren’t far from what some priest was saying on FOX today as they gleefully cheered the death of that horrible social justice commie.
