Why does Katie have to quit, but Trump, a rapist does not? Maybe somebody from the Republican leaders can explain.
She didn't have to quit. She chose to. Maybe not enough backbone?

are they really calling him out for his affairs?I like how you guys say "affairs don't matter" but then call Trump a pig for his affairs. Hypocrisy.

Or for having affairs, lying about them, violating campaign finande laws to hide them, and still pretending to moral superiority over Obama?
Probably too complex an idea for you to make a distinction....

The party of family values strikes again.
I mean other than the tattoo, all of what she's accused of is pretty awesome
It's "awesome" to cheat on your husband?
It was apparently an open relationship or at least one where he knew she had another partner or that's my understanding. In which case, it's not cheating.

I honestly do not ever remember Trump saying that. He campaigned he was an outsider businessman who would make America great again. But I don't ever remember him saying he was the morally superior choice over the rest of his competiton.OTOH, Halfie has a point. Most of us are pretty judgmental about Trump’s affairs. For me the difference is that he and so many Republicans cast themselves as being so moral and upright and family oriented. That seems extremely hypocritical.

Exactly. Trump had far more heat on him when the pussy grabbing scandal broke out. That alone would have destroyed any other Republican candidate. But he fought past it.

One girlie-magazine publisher even proposed taking nude pictures of Kalna, Ilmuth, Kurati, Khessini, Nerith, and others, and publishing them as "Girls of the Solar System". One of the Message Committee forwarded it to the Contact Committee, and Kalna composed a response.
"Although we are flattered by your curiosity about our bodies, we must respectfully decline. We are not into exhibitionism, and our bodies are so glorious-looking that you would faint. Only kidding about that last part. Seriously, even if we were exhibitionist enough to want to distribute nude pictures of ourselves, we would not want to distribute such pictures to the people of your world. All too many people would consider it a terrible scandal, including many people who like to look at such pictures. We also would not want such pictures to be the property of any one publisher. But since you are so desperate to have pictures of us, we will send you some."
She included pictures of herself and Ilmuth in jumpsuits.
Lyulchak‘s snaps have been condemned in the Ukraine since they appeared online last week.
But the brunette beauty has made light of the leak saying the shots should be considered artwork.
“The world honours the great works of great masters such as van Gogh, Titian and others,” she said.
“They created naked beauty which was admired.”
She added: “In our day and age woman who appear naked are considered vulgar or shameful.
“I can’t understand it. I think they are pure art.”
But Knight wants his old House seat back again. The main authors of the articles, it turns out, were former campaign advisors to Steve Knight, the Republican congressman ousted by Hill a year ago.
...
Her sudden downfall is due in part to the relationship she acknowledged having with the campaign staffer and an allegation that she had an affair with a congressional aide, which she has denied.
But it’s also the product of what she and her allies see as a plot by her estranged husband and former Knight operatives to use naked pictures to destroy her. Heslep did not respond to calls for comment, and Knight denied personal involvement.
While Heslep had been a househusband, taking care of the family's horse, goat, turkey, chickens and dogs.Hill had become a top executive at a Los Angeles nonprofit serving the homeless. She was one of more than three dozen Democrats who unseated Republicans, helping her party take control of the House in a suburban revolt against President Trump. She quickly became a member of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s leadership team.
Talk about domestic drama llama. Then, in June, Heslep wrote in the divorce papers, Hill came home from Washington and told him she was leaving. “She took our only operable vehicle and left me stranded at our residence.” Heslep said he had to borrow money from his parents to hire a divorce lawyer.
Heslep, described in Hill’s resignation letter as an abusive husband, criticized the congresswoman in his texts with Daniels.
In her farewell speech on the House floor Thursday, Hill said that she had not left her apartment since the photos were published more than a week ago.
“I’ve hidden from the world, because I am terrified of facing all the people I let down,” she said.
She hinted that she would not be long out of the spotlight: “Thank you, and I yield the balance of my time for now, but not forever.”
“This doesn't happen to male members in the same way — revenge porn in this respect. It’s horrific,” said freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), adding that “of course” it will deter some younger women from running for office. “I don't think we’re really talking about how targeted and serious this is. We're talking about a major crime... being committed against her.”
She is 79 years old.“Our darling Katie. It's so sad,” Pelosi said, according to two Democratic sources with knowledge of the meeting. “It goes to show you, we should say to young candidates, and to kids in kindergarten really, be careful when transmitting photos.”
Some Congresspeople didn't want KH to resign.Frankly, I think it’s a generational issue,” Gaetz said in an interview. “A lot of these baby boomers I serve with don’t understand that millennials, by virtue of having smartphones, have shared stupid moments and regrettable moments for a substantial portion of their lives.”
“We cannot adopt an ethic that some bad thing or embarrassing thing that you’ve done, released through the inflamed passions of an ex, somehow impairs your public service or fitness as a candidate,” said Gaetz, a conservative bomb-thrower who rarely aligns with Democrats.
Others would not publicly state an opinion.“I’ve only been here for 10 months, but it’s unbelievable, the kind of scrutiny and double standards that I’ve seen,” Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), said in an interview, adding that it is particularly difficult for a woman or a person of color.
“This place can be extremely defeating. You’re coming as your unapologetic self. You’re coming as a real person,” Tlaib added. “They’re not ready for people like Katie and I, for people who are different... We needed Katie here and I hope she changes her mind.”
“You know what, I’m not going to talk about that. It’s too personal,” Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) said when asked about Hill’s decision to leave Congress.
