RussiaGate

Manafort trying to sell polling info to his Ukrainian oligarch friend does not look like a collusion but an attempt to solve financial problems.
Yes, because internal polling data in a foreign election has intrinsic value to the Ukranians amounting in the millions.

Hey barbos... there is this bridge in New York that I'd think you might have an investment interest in.

Solving financial problems through collusion.
THAT is what it looks like.
That's not a collusion, and certainly not the one in which Trump was involved.
Sorry, but all you have so far is russians having interest in Trump's campaign.

And since then, Mueller uncovered Manafort conspiring with a Russian Intel guy, which would be the big there there.

Keep dreaming.
I love how your persona went from leftist to anti-Russian investigation poster with little thought.

Also, I sure the heck don't want Trump guilty of such a crime. The idea that we have a compromised President should frighten all Americans.

Frighten Americans to the point that if any of them had concrete evidence of it and withheld that information for any amount of time at all, that person or group should be jailed and publically shamed.

I believe Robert Meuller's silence on the issue should be interpreted as that there indeed is "no there there".

But I'm done with this rabbit hole for now. See ya around!

Well, no, but it's more of a pawn-shop transaction.
It has no value to the oligarch, so he's loaning you money out of the goodness of his heart, and just, you know, HOLDING this data, until you can come back for it. And pay him back.

Hey, that was not my idea or facts. That's what was leaked by stupid lawyers who don't know how PDF works.
Akhmetov is an ukrainian oligarch for sure. Does not mean he can't "sell" that polling data to Russians.

No, keep it.

It's idiotic Trump sophistry like this that keeps indicating to others that you're a Trumpeteer. Regardless, that would necessarily mean that we'd need to arrest and publicly shame EVERY FUCKING POLICE OFFICER AND D.A. IN THE COUNTRY.

But I'm done with this rabbit hole for now. See ya around!

Thank the nonexistent christ.

Rich oligarchs love paying millions for useless data! It is the Slavic version of Beanie Babies. ;)

I believe Robert Meuller's silence on the issue should be interpreted as that there indeed is "no there there".
His silence is based on his building of a case that will end an American Presidency due to grave charges and needing to dot every i and cross every t to make certain it is a bullet proof case.

But I'm done with this rabbit hole for now. See ya around!
Can't wait for the next persona.

Riiiiiiight.

All the indictments, convictions, pleas of everyone AROUND Trump are not even circumstantial evidence of the possibility of guilt, but a professional LEO not commenting on an active investigation MUST be interpreted as Trump's innocence.

That's even-handed, I must say.

Can't wait for the next persona.
I hope the next one's a ballerina.

Or maybe a cowboy?

Of course there is always a rationalization. If Meuller doesn't leak anything, it is because he doesn't have anything. If he did leak stuff or gave releases about what he had so far, he would be accused of showboating, to make himself a celebrity and cover up that he doesn't have anything.

I can't wait to hear the excuses that will be given once Trump is finally held accountable, and all evidence is out in the open.

People will dust off the Watergate Political Survival & Recovery Kits.
"Remember I said, during the campaign, he wasn't fit for dogcatcher."
"I blame the press."
"Let's get past this, and go on with running the country."
"I call upon my colleagues across the aisle to join me in looking forward, not backwards."

And on a voter-by-voter basis:
"I was never a Trump Supporter."
"I knew he was a con man."
"I blame the press."
....and back-yard fires of TRUMP signs and ballcaps across the land...

Wonder if Feb 7 might be a watershed moment. When Mr. Fixit Cohen testifies under oath in public, trumpanzees will be told that it's all lies. But if (and it is a significant "if") Cohen really is truthin', it's not going to be about what he reveals (nearly nothing we don't know already if I'm correct) but about the contrast between the demeanor of someone telling the truth and the demeanor of President Shitgibbon. The spectacle of Republicans with their hair on fire, screaming "lies! lies!", while Cohen has absolutely nothing gain and everything to lose by lying... that could greatly exacerbate Republican Senators' home State woes...

And the 5-10% that will put their MAGA hats and "Lock Her Up" t-shirts in the same hidden trophy case with their confederate flag and Nazi memorabilia.

Cohen has plenty to gain... he has a 3 year prison sentence he is trying to reduce further.

Which could turn into 30 years if he is caught lying under oath. Trumpsuckers seem to forget that regularly, almost ritually.
The notion that he will be favored by prosecutors and judges for telling lies to make Cheato look even worse, is laughable. The facts are more than sufficient to make Cheato look bad.
Do the math, GN. He has no further exposure for the crimes to which he has already confessed. He knows much of the evidence available from Mueller's raids of his home, office, storage facility - so he HAS to stay on the straight & narrow to have any hope of further leniency, and to avoid a catastrophic INCREASE in his exposure.

Of course, you have an obligation to parrot Trump's Deep State conspiracy theories, regardless of how idiotic they are...

How would that work, though?

No one's going to try to convict Trump or anyone in his posse based solely on the unsupported testimony of an established liar.

He's not only got to lie, it's got to be worth the while of prosecutors to purchase that lie with reduced sentence. Which means supporting evidence so they can use 'the lie.' And if he's caught falsifying that evidence, they're gonna whack off his peepee with a rusty chainsaw.

So, no, he only has everything to lose by lying.

Alt leftists are Mueller investigation denialists. They don't like to focus on anything unrelated to their economic ideology.

Trump: "I never worked for Russia" - Axios
Quoting @cspan
President Trump: "I never worked for Russia. And you know that answer better than anybody. I never worked for Russia. Not only did I never work for Russia, I think it's a disgrace that you even asked that question because it's a whole big fat hoax. It's just a hoax."
Reminds me of Richard Nixon: "I am not a crook".

Trump’s Russia Cover-Up By the Numbers – 101 contacts with Russia-linked operatives - The Moscow Project -- "The Trump campaign issued at least 15 blanket denials of contacts with Russia, all of which have been proven false."

Wikipedia has a big article on that subject:  Links between Trump associates and Russian officials

The best thing about that is how carefully worded it is. "I never worked for Russia." He repeats it too, so there is no doubt he knows how he's sidestepping the actual question. Non-denial denials always reveal the truth.

You all should be glad that Trump fired Comey then. After all, after a 9-month investigation by some agents who were dead-set on a mission to find Trump complicit, along with the Steele Dossier at their disposal, and finding nothing, and it being a no-brainer to you all, I have to assume you all would fire Comey too for incompetence at a minimum. Right?
