RussiaGate

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nord_Stream#Legal_aspects

Businesses involved in Nord Stream 2 have been sanctioned by the United States, which has been seeking to sell more of its own liquefied natural gas (LNG) to EU states,[60] with the passing of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 on December 20, 2019.[189] German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz called the sanctions "a severe intervention in German and European internal affairs", while the EU spokesman criticized "the imposition of sanctions against EU companies conducting legitimate business."[190] German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas tweeted that "European energy policy is decided in Europe, not in the United States". Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also criticized sanctions, saying that U.S. Congress "is literally overwhelmed with the desire to do everything to destroy" the Russia–United States relations.[191] The German Eastern Business Association (OAOEV) said in a statement: "America wants to sell its liquefied gas in Europe, for which Germany is building terminals. Should we arrive at the conclusion that US sanctions are intended to push competitors out of the European market, our enthusiasm for bilateral projects with the US will significantly cool."
Democrats voted for these illegal sanctions too, in 2019. And work stopped even before that, because of other threatening letters.

Cool story Bro.

I am glad you now know that, cause US media would never tell you that.

Of course you don't, but you are going to spout off about it anyway.
Is there point here?

US Congress declared illegal economic war on European Union and you did not know that.

Several, actually:
1) Nine out of ten people (or more) who read this thread think that Ted Cruz is a terrible person, and a worse Senator.
2) We feel the same about the other two Senators who signed the letter, so we won't be defending their actions.
3) These three Senators do not set policy for the US, and their party will hopefully be all but irrelevant in a few months.
4) The letter in question did nothing, as it was sent entirely too late to have done anything.
5) Even if the letter had been sent when it was not too late, it is toothless, given #3 above.
6) One of the sources listed for the quote you provided from Wikipedia is CNBC.
7) CNBC is a part of the US media.
8) Despite apparently lacking knowledge of #7 or #8, you spouted off about the US media never telling us the things that they clearly told us.

Hopefully you are caught up on the discussion now.

I refuted/commented all of that already, repeating it is just stupid and pointless.

Hardly.

You were the one who seemed unable to apprehend any point that I was making. I do, however, agree that it is generally pointless to engage you in discussion, other than to point out how terrible you are at it.

You had no point, which is unsurprising because, as I said, US media have not informed you of the situation, or rather misinformed.

Despite your having used the US media (CNBC) as one of your sources of information. Please see points 6, 7, and 8, as we have been over your lack of knowledge before.

I kinda like this. Now that I have enumerated the deficiencies with your posts, I can just refer to them by number when you keep going back to them over and over again.

Does not matter, fact is, you were utterly misinformed and ignorant of the situation. And US media is to blame for this.

Does it occur to you that perhaps you're the one with the problematic sources?

That's rich coming from you.

IOW, "no".

Authoritarian governments like Russia's wouldn't last long if people actually questioned their propaganda.
That's why Republicans allow no challenge to Ron Johnson from within their ranks, as he seeks to launder and amplify Russian disinformation.

What shit are you smoking?
You still don't get it. it has nothing to do with Russia and russian propaganda.
Republicans and democrats are sanctioning EU, and they are sanctioning them because they prefer cheaper gas from Russia to gas from US.

Of course it doesn't matter, nothing ever matters to you when you are called out on being wrong, even when it is shown in painstaking detail how wrong you are. You never admit it, and you always fall back to the childish "I know you are, but what am I?" type of responses. That is why your word, and your characterization of others on this forum, carry very little weight. You could take this as an opportunity to learn from your past mistakes, and improve as a contributor to this forum.

Republicans can't sanction the EU, not without control of both houses of Congress, and neither can the Dems. They would have to work together, and guess what our Congress is currently incapable of doing. Therefor, you are incorrect to say that the US is sanctioning the EU over this. A handful of malevolent Republican Senators have introduced a bill, and they may even have Trump's backing, given that this would be a way for Trump to look tough on Russia without actually doing anything that is tough on Russia. That does not mean that the sanctions exist now, or that the sanctions being passed is a foregone conclusion.

They have already passed sanctions and SCROTUS aka russian agent signed it into a law. The ones Ted Cruz wetting himself about are additional ones, cause old ones were not enough to stall construction to the satisfaction of US frackers

Meanwhile EU bureaucrats officially responded and said they would come with a solution before the end of the year. Lets hope that includes banning Ted Cruz from travelling EU... indefinitely. I would have banned all congress members who voted for that crap. Chances are, US frackers are gonna pay for that shit, literally.

Please follow along with the argument being made, which is in regard to the letter sent by Cruz, et al.

If you would stop inserting irrelevancies into the argument, then it would be much easier for you.
