Thanks, Republicans. The half-governor who should've been a footnote in the Annals of Daffy Politicos wants to perpetuate our national embarrassment by joining The View. I guess there's an upside: you can only write so much on your hand, so she'd be winging it a lot -- not a good look for her. She'd be a constant reminder to all but the zaniest that this is a human that the G.O.P. told us could lead the free world in a John McCain heartbeat.

She wouldn't last long. Her kind of conservatism doesn't last long under a bright light.

I don't think it would be too long before a couple of the other women, namely Whoopi, dove across the table and slapped the shit out of her. Which would be entertaining...

Why would you say something like that? FOX News and all those radio talk show hosts have been shouting that kind of stupidity from the rooftops for decades and doing so just keeps getting them more and more ratings.

Fox news is not preaching to the choir. It's more like the altos preaching to the sopranos.

People like Palin do not perform well when faced with their own contradictions. When this is combined with her poor grasp of history and geography, everything she says will be material for John Stewart. It can't hold to scrutiny. There are conservatives who could express themselves and make articulate arguments for their position, but Sara Palin is not one of them.

Sarah Palin would be a perfect fit. Honestly, I have never seen a bigger collection of dimwits and numbskulls in one place like there is/has been on The View. We had Rosie O'Donnell who is/was a 9/11 Truther. Sherri Sheppard didn't know whether the Earth was round or flat because she's too busy feeding her kid (I guess you can't raise kids and educate yourself at the same time?). And "Dr" Jenny McCarthy who thinks millions of doctors around the world with advanced medical degrees are wrong about vaccinations, and she is right because...um, well, she's famous, has big fake hooters and was in Playboy, I guess. Holy fuck that show is a train wreck.

She'd like to be on The View, eh? Well, I'd like a million bucks, too. You don't just get things by wishing for them. If you did, she'd have disappeared back into her Alaskan obscurity by now.

That would be awesome! :hylidae:

As if The Daily Show didn't have enough fodder.

Wait, is this like her thinking about running for President. In other words, she won't ever make a decision, but will string people along and try to get more money?

Still not seeing the distinction between Palin and any of the regular propaganda outlets on radio or TV or the web. Sure, she's less articulate, but the arguments are just as painfully awful: we can't afford cheaper healthcare, we need to severely limit immigration in an immigrant nation, if we give the aristocracy more control over us then we will become more free, if we transfer massive amounts of wealth from the middle class to the rich we will all be better off, climatology is part of a vast international conspiracy by 90% of the world's scientists, etc.

For some reason she is idolized by millions. She is an attack dog, not a politician, and certainly not a commentary person. Granted, lots of attack dogs on Fox.

That might be fun, though.
She'll have been briefed, she'll have her talking point to bring up, and then she'll be alone with everyone else's comments and either shut up or reveal that she has no idea what she just said....
Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen, which she'll choose.

Fifty-one percent of voters no longer want to hear what Rev. Jesse Jackson has to say about politics. Forty-five percent feel the same way about former Vice President Dick Cheney, followed by Newt Gingrich at 43% and former Vice President Al Gore at 40%.
Jesse Jackson? When was the last time he spoke up?

And incredible that the hate of Gore brings him about level with heartless Cheney, who has the largest pair ever in all universal history, for even bothering to speak out against Obama after the debacle that was the W administration.

The poll also explored attitudes about President Obama and the economy. According to the results, while 52% of the country acknowledges the economy has improved under the president’s watch, only 36% are willing to give him credit for it. Another 47% argue the economy hasn’t improved under Obama.
Nearly 1 in 2 Americans think the economy is as bad now as it was when Obama took office. Seriously, WTF?!?!

I can appreciate people thinking that the economy isn't booming, but that it hasn't improved? The Dow was less than half what it is today? Also hundreds of thousands of jobs were being lost monthly! I just can't see how the partisan blinders can be that blinding!

As a friend of mine on Facebook said, Sarah Palin on the View would be worth it just to see Whoopi climb over the table and smack the shit out of Palin.

Well, yeah. A Democrat is now in office, so of course the economy is worse than it was under his holiness Saint Bush II. Americans can't wait to repeat the kinds of successes we enjoyed when Republicans were in charge. The media is doing its part by treating those who served under Bush as great and important experts on matters like the economy or terrorism or international relations. I mean, you want the public exposed to the experts who most know what they're talking about, right?

Sigh.
