First of all, actions of the local governments tacitly or overtly supporting violent riots, takeovers of whole city blocks, arson, looting etc. has been very damaging to the country, and especially to the major cities.

That is your opinion that does not correspond to reality.

There are also efforts to defund police by 50% or so, or to abolish police departments altogether.

In most cases, defund means reallocate resources and responsibilities away from the police not eliminate them or their core functions. Your scare tactic rhetoric comes right out of the Trump playbook.

Second, the over-emphasis on race. Everything is based on race these days... -
