Sweden, Finland, and Ukraine joining NATO?

We have sattelite photos for christ's sake showing the russian combat troops in Ukraine in the past. We don't need a "propaganda" source to tell us, you can look with your own eyes:

No, you don't.

Let me guess, the conspiracies that this is all lies and that the photos are photoshopped, or that it was really NATO troops and equipment in disguise (that somehow managed to start their journey from the Russian side of the border), are going to start coming out.

You can't tell anything from these pictures. That's not to say it's not what you say it is.
Having said that, it's a known fact that NATO/US used fake pictures in their propaganda, so....

And I remember that picture surfacing in august, nobody was impressed.

NATO are known liars. Why should we believe them?
Russia’s Defense Ministry ridicules NATO’s photo-proof of invasion in Ukraine

Yes NATO claimed it and Russia denied it. After NATO released fake images earlier last year of Russian troops on the Ukrainian border we should assume it is probably fake again. Unless you have some reason to believe a liar?
It makes no sense to comment in detail on the satellite imagery released by NATO as “proof” of Russia’s military involvement in Ukraine, Defense Ministry’s spokesman said, pointing out that even high NATO officials were hesitant to put their names on it.

Referring to NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Supreme Allied Commander Europe Philip Breedlove, and NATO Spokesperson Oana Lungescu, Russia’s Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov ridiculed the so-called NATO proof.

“You know, it has become ridiculous… If earlier, someone would at least put their names on those images, be it Breedlove, Rasmussen, or even Lungescu, now, they are hesitant,” Konashenkov said as cited by RIA Novosti. “It makes no sense to seriously comment on this
That the OSCE told us there was no evidence of Russian troops in the Ukraine around that time means we need to be even more sceptical

Start coming out? Earlier in 2014 NATO released old images supposedly showing Russian troops and or weapons massing on the Ukrainian border.
These were shown to be fake but that didn't stop people believing it.

The US govt and NATO routinely lie to you. They lied about IRAQ, they lied about chemical weapons in Syria just to name two instances

All governments lie if it's in the nations interest.
They lie if the delusional people at the top think it is the right thing to do.
It is not in America's interest to pursue the foreign policy they are pursuing. It harms the average American. The same goes for the European servants of the USA. They don't benefit from the lies. The same goes for Australia.

America is on the decline , though I hope it will find it's way and blossom. I really do. It has so much to give to us all, but it probably must do away with it's idea it is chosen by god to rule the world. A multi-polar world is emerging and it is a good thing.

Without America as the world's policeman right up to the present, the world would be a much more hostile place than it is.

That's pretty ironic considering number of threads about misdeeds of actual US police on this board.
And in general, public here is very critical of US government when it comes to internal affairs and think that government is just of bunch of incompetent and corrupt assholes. But when it comes to foreign policy then the same people become geniuses somehow. Unless of course it involves sending troops into Iraq and Afganistan.

Without America we would be typing in either Japanese or German, or perhaps even Russian. Sure they have made mistakes, invading Iraq is to me the obvious blunder of the century, but for every mistake there's an opposing good they've done. The biggest blunder now seems to be the Obama administrations flirting and appeasement with islam which has the potential of crippling the Western culture and way of life.

And they are bad....because...???

Russia (SU) lost territory since Cold War ended. And NATO gained. it's clear who aggressor is.

You're talking like an imperialist. The USSR fell apart due to mismanagement. Would you stay employed to a mismanaged company? No, you wouldn't. It makes perfect sense that people want to leave failed empires.

NATO is not the empire of USA. The Warsaw pact was the empire of Russia. There's a major difference.

One of the hardest adjustments that immigrants from Russia to Israel had to make was the concept of looking for a job. My ulpan Hebrew Absorption class was about 1/2 Russian-speakers, and we spent a lot of time on the subject. It was terrifying to most of them, because they had grown up knowing that their career would be assigned to them by the government.

I don't know what it's like in Russia today, but the concept of leaving a company because it's mismanaged might not translate.
