The Big Beautiful Ballroom

No surprize here.
I'd be very surprised!

"After months of..." East Wing was just recently demo'd, like weeks ago, not months.

A federal court... When did Federal Courts get involved with payment disputes?
More fake news...

Fact Check: Don't buy into claim construction company 'called out' Trump over unpaid White House East Wing demolition bills
If we can't trust the reporting out of usamidia.com... who can we trust?

Of course, the cherry on the top of all of this is that the person promoting the article, whomever (whatever?) they are notes "You can't make this up". No, someone did make it up... and it seemed obvious enough from the limited lines of text included with the link (of which no one should click!!!).

People just don't stop and think. What I'm curious about is the reason for this article existing in the first place?
- right-wing misinformation that is designed to make people discard news about destruction of East Wing?
- left-wing misinformation to make liberals feel a little happy / upset at same time
- generalized misinformation to grow a discord between people media reporting in general
- just the clicks ma'am

Uh ... I'm fairly sure it's true unless I'm truly losing my mind.
It was done under Federal contract, no?
They (GSA) really like to take 90-120 days post completion on larger contracts and I don't think it has even been that long since that debacle began.
Whether they were paid would be visible as with all GSA contracts, but the terms would only be known to the government and the contractor. unless it was a public bid (and even at that, it is subject to alteration post award).
In any event it’s a fairly sure bet they haven’t been paid and weren’t expecting to be paid by now.

Might want to hire a PI for that. ;)

You seem to have said two different things here. One the article is true, two the contractor wouldn't have expected to have been paid by now, which would mean the article is false as they didn't go to Federal Court to get payment.

Yes.

Thing 1: it is probably true that they have not yet received payment.

Thing 2: it is probably false that this is indicative of funny business, as they probably never expected to be paid by now, so it’s a non-story.
