I personally don’t get all the rock-kicking over the 'Gulf of America' when we’ve been butchering entire nations for centuries. It’s not Nihon, Not Bharat, not Misr, not Zhongguo, not Al-Maghrib, not Hanguk, not Suomi, not Hellas, not Deutschland, etc. But now y’all wanna catch a history lesson over one body of water? Nigga please.

It's not just English speakers who do that.  Names of Germany - Deutschland, French Allemagne (Alemanni: "all men"), Italian Germania (Roman name), Polish Niemcy ("they don't speak"), Finnish Saksa (Saxon), Lithuanian Vokietija ("speak loudly"?), several others, like "Prussian".

Wikipedia's contributors have created a comprehensive  List of country-name etymologies
Like
 Name of Greece - Hellas, Graecia, Ionia, Rome
 Name of Hungary - Magyarorszag
 Name of India - Bharat
etc.

You know, I think you're actually being too restrained. If the President can rename the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America" just because he feels like it, why stop there? Our military already goes wherever it wants, bombs whatever it wants, topples whoever it wants—at this point, technically, everywhere is America. Borders are just suggestions.

And the ocean? Please. There’s only one. It’s all connected. So why not just rename the whole thing the "American Ocean?" And while we’re at it, let’s go full imperial-core delusion and rename the planet America. That’s right—Planet America. Take that, Canada. Suck it, Greenland.

Of course this also means we'll have to deport all the immigrants to outer space. Can't have them on our land.

Considering she has also accused Israel of genocide and has demanded that the Epstein files be released, I prefer to say, "Better late than ever Marge". There is always hope that a person will change even someone like the "bleached bomb bimbo" MTG. :unsure:

Well, at least she's said she won't run for Senator or Governor. I actually hoped she would as she would lose in a landslide if she did. She says she would have won, but I don't think she was being honest when she said that. Her district is on the Tennessee border, not in the Atlanta metro area. Even Marjorie knows she can't win over a purple state that could turn blue if everyone would vote.

If only more Replicans would speak up like MTG. Yes, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Actually, it seems she's' going in a better direction. Who woulda thunk it? The Trims articles mentioned that she has been working with a few Democrats, and some Dems feel embarrassed about that, but this is what we need, somebody who has been as far right to speak up and try to reach across the aisle and not be fearful of the orange toddler.

According to a New York Times report published Sunday, Greene said she was angered after a Trump aide signaled that supporting legislation to release government documents tied to Epstein would be seen as a “very hostile act.”

In response, she says she phoned a senior West Wing official and pushed back hard.

“I told them, ‘You didn’t get me elected. I do not work for you; I work for my district,’” she recalled in her comments to The Times.

When asked how threats from Trump’s camp affect her, Greene replied: “Me personally? I don’t care … I’m like, ‘[Expletive] you.’”
