Who the fuck uses netflix for anime?

Subscribe to Crunchyroll like the rest of us geeks.

Even if I did watch that much anime, I'm too lazy to juggle another subscription. Now what are your opinions on Sword Art Online? Am I right? Off base?

I liked Sword Art Online.

I wasn't that upset that Kirito reacted the way he did to Kayaba. Kayaba wasn't out to murder people. He was trying to achieve his dream of a floating castle. And his interactions with the players, other than the real death part, was pretty honorable and above board.

I think you might be judging it a bit too harshly with American sensibilities.

He didn't have to cause the deaths of nearly 4,000 people to build his floating castle. In fact, his floating castle would've lasted far longer if he hadn't caused the death of so many people. That he was a bit out of touch with reality doesn't make him any less of a mass murderer, at least not in my eyes.

Oh, and shame on them for creating an fun, strong female character and turning her into a damsel in distress! In a bird cage, no less! Pfah!

Ooops. Spoilers. Sorry.

Well,

The birdcage thing was perpetrated by a whole different psycho. And she was portrayed as strong there too with her escape attempts.

Life of Brian is now on Netflix. I haven't seen it in years, long enough for much of it to be new again. :D

Sure, the villain was the mechanism by which it happened, but the writers still chose to put a strong female character in a literal fucking

birdcage.

Daredevil season 3 is coming soon.

Anxiously awaiting season two of Mindhunter. Cameron Britton was awesome as Ed Kemper in season one. I usually don't care for these stories for their disturbing nature but the criminal psychology approach makes it well worth watching.

If you have Netflix give recommendations for the rest of us that also have Netflix.

So far my two favorite series on Netflix are Weeds and Breaking Bad.

House of Cards is ok and Orange is the New Blalck is fairy good.

Looking forward to your recommendations

I've had Netflix for over two years now. And I almost never find what I'm looking for. I only keep it because I want to pay for the media I consume. But since I can't find what I'm looking for I just keep downloading off Pirate bay.

I'm going to keep paying for it, because I want creators of media to have my money. But I don't really use it. I re-watch Rick and Morty on it. That and Annihilation I think that's the only thing I've watched on it. Annihilation is great. I highly recommend it.

Iron Fist and Luke Cage have been cancelled.

When Iron Fist was cancelled, no one was surprised. It didn't do well with critics nor fans. Luke Cage is another matter. Regardless of what you think of it, it has a lot of dedicated fans and the show generates a lot of buzz and discussion.

Black Panther may be Marvel's most popular black character in live action, but Luke Cage is still the most prominent African-American hero, and the show really focuses on African-American issues and hires a lot of good African-American talent.

The fans in the above article blame Avengers Infinity War, but I wonder if this isn't the result of Disney starting to pull the plug on Netflix so that they can launch a competing streaming service.

They didn't pull the plug on Daredevil nor Jessica Jones, but Daredevil just dropped, and Jessica Jones just wrapped (finished filming and entered post production).

If the plan is to move these shows to a Disney streaming service, I just don't trust that Disney can do these shows as well as Netflix did. Disney would no don't use ABC talent like they did with SHIELD and The Inhumans, and we all know how those turned out.

The best movie made by Netflix is Okja.

I've got The Kindergarten Teacher in my list to watch. Just arrived this week.
