Mayor...well...now Secretary Pete doesn't just have articulation. He's able to think on his feet. I saw a few of his appearances during the 2020 campaign, and noted that he did something different. So true. His messaging is a reflection of his oration; low key, muddled, hard to discern and largely lost on any possible audience.Biden doesn't need to be typing in all caps and posting at 3am, but he should be banging the drum about his economic wins very loudly. Should have been doing it for awhile now.
The FACT that he has done a truly exceptional job looking after the Country's needs might be noted in the history books, but it escapes the vast majority of those who benefit from it. If he had a tenth of say, Mayor Pete's articulation, he'd be a shoo-in.
While other candidates would take a question (in a town hall, for example) and use it to launch into a possibly unrelated but rehearsed talking point, Pete would actually answer the question. Since becoming Secretary Pete, his media appearances have been a parade of deftly smacking down "gotcha" questions.
Unfortunately (getting back to the subject of the thread), that doesn't seem to be what the voters want. Rather than "okay, that's a great question, let's dive into that for a minute and talk about possible solutions" they seem to be gravitating towards shouting all caps messages. There was a story today of a MAGA guy who posted online threats against Biden and a few others. The FBI (as is their wont) showed up to question him, and he (apparently) decided to follow through on his promise to go down shooting. He did not win.
Granted, he is an extreme case, but in some areas he's being held up as a martyr along the lines of Ashli Babbitt. In order to have a coup, you have to have people who are willing to die for the leader.
