THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! Person who gives the first speech at memorial service.

To be fair, you can say that about any ideological group, that they're wacky AND that not all of them are wacky.

I'm glad no one was killed. That would mean that they would have to have a memorial service for those who died at the memorial service, presumably with speeches.

Hopefully this tragedy will lead voters to pressure their elected representatives to distance themselves from the lobbyists at the National Fencing Association and America can finally get some effective laws and regulations in place to limit the easy availablity of swords in their society and to help prevent similar issues in the future.

Yes, and all swords must not be more than 10 inches in length, but you cannot draw more than the first 7 inches unless you are in a practice arena that contains at least one tiger. Furthermore, you must exclaim, "Tally-Ho!" prior to drawing your sword if you are being attacked on your own property.

I don't understand what you're saying. Your post seems to imply that it's possible for people to not exclaim "Tally-Ho!" when drawing their sword.

Is that another "Religion of PeaceTM"?

It's a religion that gets dumped on by both Muslims and Hindus in their home country, and unfortunately shot at (because they are mistaken for Muslims) in this country.

Well, if their stupid gods had ordered them to carry shotguns instead of some lame-assed pointy sticks they could shoot back. Nobody's forcing them to worship deities that dumb, so they have no right to complain.

Sikhs don't have that kind of god. They believe God is everything, Wahe Guru (the universe), and so they don't have commandments from god. All their god says is stuff like "I am indescribable, immortal, unborn, undying, etc." They do have the twelve Gurus who did leave commandments for devotees.

Sikh culture does, however, place a high value on the knife. As symbols go, the knife is almost as important as the turban.

And not as useful as a shotgun. If it's crappy gurus who are the problem instead of crappy gods, the point remains the same. If a guy's walking down the street with a shotgun, the bigoted comments about his turban are going to remain unsaid until after he leaves.

True. Gods or gurus, it is religion after all. Anything can become a reason to stick a sword into someone.
