Trump Fires Air Safety Experts - What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

There's a video online I just watched in which you can listen to the ATC voice traffic. As far as I can tell there's no evidence of incompetence on the part of the ATC. In fact, the ATC's ability to remain calm and divert and direct other planes immediately after the accident is a testament to the competence and professionalism of those involved.
If you are average at ATC, I've got to imagine you aren't in NYC or DC directing traffic. I watch some airline videos, and I just can't get over the ridiculous amount of data crossing back and forth and the speed, low quality audio, etc... and the controllers are well in control. I could not do that job!

Cheato looks to be blaming the crash on DEI.
What fucking retarded asswipe.
Was the chopper pilot an indigneous lesbian transwoman?
Definitely. Between that and the Haitian ATC, the black A&P mechanic and the Mexican baggage handler, they managed to bring down both aircraft. We need all airline and airport employees to be imported from Norway.

Trump blames DEI, but I've read several times in recent years, that it's very difficult to get anyone to do that job, so there is a shortage of air traffic controllers and considering the harsh conditions they deal with including mandatory overtime, it shouldn't be surprising.

https://simpleflying.com/us-atc-shortage-analysis/#:~:text=The current shortage of air traffic control workers, fewer flights operating, especially at major hub airports.

However, in the years following the pandemic, the commercial aviation industry saw a strong reemergence of demand. Airlines swiftly added back capacity as they brought more planes out from storage, leading to an uptick in daily flights.

In addition to offering early retirements, Airport Industry Review claims many agencies worldwide let go of trainees and stopped hiring and training altogether. With a record-breaking number of passengers taking to the skies, these decisions are still having lasting effects on the industry as the FAA tries to catch up.

To keep up with the massive volume of flights returning to the skies, some air traffic controllers are getting pushed to their limits. Reuters reports that some controllers are forced to work mandatory overtime and six-day work weeks at many facilities. This has drawn attention to concerns regarding fatigue, as the United States has seen an uptick in safety-related incidents.

Since May 2024, the FAA has recorded 1,115 runway incursions. Furthermore, over 180 operational incidents were recorded that could be traced back to air traffic controllers' decisions. In 2023, for example, several high-profile near misses occurred between commercial airliners:

  • A Southwest 737 narrowly avoided a Delta 737 upon landing at New Orleans’ Louis Armstrong International Airport
  • An American and Frontier flight came dangerously close to colliding with each other at San Francisco International Airport
  • An American Airlines flight was forced to take steep climb to avoid a United flight over Dallas.
According to Avionics International, in August 2023, 46 close calls regarding commercial aircraft occurred. Many attribute these incidents to fatigue and overworked controllers.

The incidents have shed light on the dangers of fatigue among air traffic controllers. In December 2023, the FAA named a panel of experts to address air traffic controller fatigue. The three-person panel, which started in January 2024, was created to review the latest sleep and fatigue science that can be applied to scheduling.

There's a lot more in the article, but of course, it's all DEI's fault. /s

Air traffic controllers have been kicked around by congress and the president at least since Ronald Reagan. I don't know why anyone would want to be their punching bag.

Cheato looks to be blaming the crash on DEI.

Was the chopper pilot an indigneous lesbian transwoman?
Are you joking?

It is out there online. Rep. Ogles mentions it out of no where.
article said:
Ogles, in an interview with Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo, was asked if there was any reason to suspect foul play in the accident. The Tennessee Republican, a member of the Homeland Security Committee, said he would “hate to jump to conclusions.”

“Obviously, we’ll look at everything, check all the boxes,” he told Bartiromo, adding that he saw the crash on his phone and was “horrified.” The lawmaker said he is praying for all those affected by the tragedy.

“But, you know, to your point, I think you have to look at this with eyes wide open,” Ogles continued. “See what happened. You know, human error? Was it some sort of equipment failure? Did DEI play a role in this type of thing?”

"I do want to point out that various articles that appeared prior to my entering office. And here’s one, the FAA’s diversity push includes focus on hiring people with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities. That is amazing. And then it says FAA says people with severe disabilities are most underrepresented segment of the workforce said ‘they want them in, and they want them, they can be air traffic controllers. I don’t think so. This was January 14, so that was a week before I entered office. They put a big push to put diversity into the FAA’s program." - DONALD TRUMP a few minutes ago. (quote is being a bitch at the moment)

As far as we can tell, the FAA did nothing wrong. Reports indicate that the the Chopper should have known that plane was there and confirmed twice that they saw it. And seemingly, based on Radar, diverted a little bit, the wrong way, when told to pass behind the plane.

Trump gets shot at... DEI, military crashes into passenger plane... DEI, sun rises... DEI.
Bold: If anyone runs this down, I'll betcha dollars to doughnuts they find these folks with disabilities the FAA hires is the janitorial service. Ask me how I know.

I'd say the accusation is so absurd it has to be false as he is trying to imply. If these people were placed in those positions, this wouldn't be a rare occurrence. And this doesn't even appear to be an ATC issue. Yet, Trump brings up some Nazi-esque complaints.

I read that and just put it down for more Trump lying. He's so dishonest that nothing he says can be taken as true unless verified.

Trump mentioned people with epilepsy and dwarves. Those were like the last two things in his litany of disabilities/DEI whatever. I heard him say it on tv. I'm just thinking about all the epileptic dwarf air traffic controllers that were hired under BI-DEN. Yeah, that's the ticket. He also mentioned BI-DEN several times.

Orangey is now blaming democrat's and DEI for the crash - that didn't take long

there must be a standard operating procedure at their fingertips that says in case of xx emergency or bad thing happen - here is who you blame.

As much as I'd like to, I can't pin the blame here on Fragilego Mussolini. The administration may bungle the aftermath, but so far this just looks like a terrible accident.
Agreed.

But Trump has blamed it on Obama and Biden for lax safety standards. I seem to remember there was another president between Obama and Biden. Who could that be? The name escapes me.

But didn’t Hegseth, speaking on behalf of the military as secretary of defense, already say a mistake has been made? He didn’t blame the ATC or DEI. So can we assume that it was the black hawk pilot’s mistake?

The right wing when a mass casualty event happens:

"It's too early to start politicizing this. We need thoughts and prayers."

Trump:

"I blame my political opponents and groups of people I don't like. I promise to punish them all."

I mean, the names of the victims haven't even been made public, so what does he do in response to a question at the press briefing? He promises to release them! Stupid fuck stick doesn't even understand why the names haven't been released yet!

As anyone with half a brain knows Trump is a cruel, mindless idiot who is also a pathological liar and a psychopathic narcissist. Did I leave anything out?

Okay, some of his supporters might have half a brain but they were easily manipulated into a dangerous cult and they still don't realize it. Fuck There are still Trump signs in my area! One is on the corner of my street and several on two neighboring streets. What's that about? According to a friend who lives in the boonies, they are everywhere in her area.

Serial adulterer?

This is the first time I've kept my sign out this long.

I read in the news that there was only one air traffic controller doing the work that would normally be two. I don't know what's up with that.

But it is no OK for the Fascist Felon to go out there blaming before before the cause is determined. The guy will take any opportunity to blame his pet blamees without thought. And his cult followers will just believe him.

He blames Obama and Biden and DEI. He "forgets" that he was between the two.
