Hillary Clinton trails Donald Trump for the first time this campaign in who’s seen as more honest and trustworthy, a sign of further possible fallout from renewed FBI scrutiny of Clinton-related emails. A steady six in 10 likely voters disapprove of how she’s responded to the issue.

Given Clinton’s advantage in other areas, the race between them is now a precise dead heat in the latest ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll, 46-46 percent. A majority, 55 percent, continues to expect Clinton to win, though that’s down 5 points from its peak last week, before FBI Director James Comey announced the latest review of emails related to Clinton's use of a private server while she served as secretary of state.

It looks like the media isn't telling the public how dishonest Trump and his campaign are.

As long as Trump isn't on a national stage to be seen, people seem to forget real quickly how much he lies. I think he has normalized lying.

Trump's problem isn't honesty. It's keeping his mouth shut. There's a time and place for everything.

The Media along with the Democratic Party severely underestimated how hated HRC is in this country. People don't like her and because they don't like her, they will believe any bad things that are said about her

Ya, it's weird. He talks and his poll numbers go down. He shuts up for a few days and his poll numbers go up. Your people have the attention span of a fruit fly.

You know who doesn't rate Trump as more honest? The folks who enrage both progressives and regressives (er - conservatives): Politifact. You can google the actual stats, but Trump is far, far lower in accuracy and honesty than HRC & has bushels of statements rated "pants on fire." (But don't let 5 years of Birther manure color your judgment of the Orange Avenger.) And just ask thousands and thousands of people on the streets of Jersey City.

People have not been hating Trump since 1992

Who cares - it's like syphilis or leprosy: the point is to get it cured. A lot of Americans seem to be more like germs than people at the moment.

Trump might complain that Hilary cheated him out of the most dishonest spot.

What does she expect. She was sloppy with the emails exposing a danger to hacking hence a security risk. Then another batch were discovered. In a sense this is worse than pussy-gate.

Only in the sense that Trump had victims and Clinton didn't and victimless crimes which caused no damage whatsoever are always worse than crimes which caused damage to victims.

I really do hope that Trump wins because a Trump America would be even more surreal than Putin's Russia.

If we exclude US foreign policy yes.

No, his foreign policy would be fucked up too. It would be foolish to believe that he'd be less warlike than Clinton or get the US into less stupid wars than she would. That's not to say that Clinton isn't a dangerous warhawk, but she's a predictable dangerous warhawk, not one who'd do it as randomly as Trump.

We'd be watching a hybrid of Caligula and Bob Barker -- he'd be holed up somewhere in the White House war room issuing 4 a. m. tweets to his fellow dictators.

That's assuming he doesn't get confused and start sending them porn...

Where is the place, and at what time, may someone rape a pretty 15 year old?

Or.. do you include the distant past in the [correct] time and place? Like, "the 1500's in China was the correct time and place for child rape"?

Then Trump would be predictably unpredictable. Both should cease US colonial wars to change bad or not that bad regimes with worse ones.

Who cares
We had better all care. HRC's likability May very well decide this election. Not to mention, fielding unliked and unlikeable candidates is hardly a winning strategy for party politics.
