Trump VS COVID-19 Threat

Besides, the only options are you either believe we're all gonna die and this is a million times worse than climate change, or you believe it's going to blow over and everything will be OK.

How can a person think this is true?
How could a person, even minimally able to muster a fired neuron, possibly think this is a reasonable sentence to utter?

You want us to believe that you really think these are the only two options?
We are not that brain dead.

Wow. I'm impressed.

Just bringing a little common sense. Trump wouldn't do anybody any good if he just got on TV and started screaming, "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!" He'd create a panic.

It was like when Bush was criticized for still reading to 1st graders when he heard the towers had been hit. Dems wanted him to stand up in front of little kids and scream, "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE BY TERRORISTS!!! AHHH!" because that's what a leader does, apparently.

Well let's see, some states have banned gatherings of 250 people or more. Sports leagues were canceled. Yet, fast food places and stores continue to stay open when workers there come into contact with way more than 250 customers per shift.

Either you believe it's a big problem or it's not.

Someone who suggests lung cancer vaccines is definitely not injecting common sense into the conversation

Road traffic accidents are a big killer.

Perhaps we should be working on a vaccination against those, too. ;)

You know what I meant: a cure. You're just mincing my words.

But, we can also point out that when the stock market was doing great, you Trump haters were saying, "Who cares about the stock market? It means nothing unless you're rich!" Now, the stock market took a big dip because of the virus and the same Trump haters are saying, "Look at the stock market drop! This is awful for our country!"

Does the stock market matter or does it "mean nothing" according to you guys?
When the stock market is great, you say it doesn't matter and don't praise Trump.
When the stock market is bad, you say it matters and blame Trump.

I bet there was another time in history...say around 1929....where a bunch of people were sitting around saying "the stock market doesn't matter! I'm poor with a menial job!!!!" and then a few hours later it crashed.....and those same people said, "this is terrible for our country!!"

I don't recall our history books saying, "The 1929 stock market crash didn't matter because only the rich are affected by the stock market."

I think it's more accurate to say you believe in a binary world where everything is either/or and that you are also ignorant on how preventative measures work.

blah blah another strawman argument about Trump and stock markets blah blah blah

Let's see if I can spell this out for you. No one has said that the stock market doesn't matter whilst at the same time state the stock market solely can be used to measure Trump's incompetence. Link me a quote of someone doing that if you disagree. Don't paraphrase, show us the quote verbatim.

Now what I am about to say is not paradoxical. You're a super smart guy so I know you can follow me on this. An argument can be made that Trump believes his presidency should be measured solely by the successes of the stock market. I disagree. The stock market is important, but it isn't fucking everything. Most adults know this. And yet it is Trump's go to argument when people justifiably accuse him of fucking up. "I'm a great president, look at the stock market". So it isn't hypocritical to say "even by Trump's standards the cunt is doing a shit job" whilst saying "maybe the stock market isn't the sole method of measuring leadership". The two statements aren't mutually exclusive.

You understand that, right? Don't worry, I know you know what I mean.

Let's try to break it down simply with 2 basic questions:

1. Do you personally believe the stock market matters to the well-being of a country?

2. Was the 1929 crash a good thing or a bad thing in your view?

I'll answer when you actually provide proof that Trump haters are talking out of both sides of their mouth like you said here. If you can't provide proof, you're in for a long wait.

It is a fact that on this board people have said that the stock market doing great doesn't matter because only the rich are invested in the stock market. It's why Bernie wants to tax Wall Street.

But when the stock market tanks, it is certainly a big blow to the country and the economy. This is why it is great when the stock market is doing great.

I didn't have a hidden meaning when I said "provide proof". There is no need to "mince my words" or "know what I mean". If you can't provide proof just grow some fucking balls and say so.

The ones who said it will see this post and argue their side. I can't remember which exact posters they were.

Someone you won't say who said something you can't remember that totally legitimizes your argument. I concede to your clearly superior debating skills my good sir.

Taking a break from Half-Baked idiocy... here's some fully baked idiocy.

Saw some shots from O'Hare airport this morning - hundreds if not thousands of people crammed together en masse in a hallway (jetway?) waiting to be screened to find out if it's okay for them to be crammed into a metal tube with a couple or a few hundred other people...

Really? This is a good idea?

It's kind of like how Clownstick saw 'thousands and thousands of people cheering in New Jersey after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001' somewhere sometime on some TV channel. Or how some half wits think that many many Democrats want millions of Americans to die of Covid-19, so the Dotard can be defeated. It's all in the narrative, reality doesn't matter.

FWIW, I do think the stock markets matter as a component of the overall economic activity. There are positive things and stupid things governments can do that can impact the markets.

Trump never said the virus was a hoax. He said the Democrats criticism of his response is their new hoax, like the Ukraine hoax.
he SAID that, or he MEANT that?
What is your quote for this, or is it just anothrr halfie invention?

Getting back to an earlier part of your inanity...

LOL...maybe you should choose your words with more thought and clearer meaning...You create much of your own problems by how poorly you communicate.

What is it with this "you Trump haters", "you say", "you guys" as you lump everyone here into a singular collective? This is another one of your big language problems.
Yeah, I think FFvC is a piece of shit, so what.

I'm even pretty confident that a few people on this site think that the stock markets don't matter, as the site has at least a couple socialists here. There are libertarians here as well, and everything in between. But again, that is not "you guys". I bet if we went to one of the alt-right sites that you would be at home at, we would find some Young Earth Creationists, some seriously whack job conspiracy theorists that buy into all sorts of BS like Pizzagate and a fake Sandy Hook massacre. Does that mean the whole site is bat shit crazy? It would be so, by your twisted logic.

One of your big problems with words is that you take 1-5% of a group of people and then make that taint the whole group as if everyone has such views. Of course this is the kind of thing that Fox and Limbaugh do regularly, but they do it on purpose to serve an agenda.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Implores New Yorkers to Stop Crowding Bars and Restaurants - Eater NY - As photos of packed bars and restaurants circulate, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says anything less than six feet away is “too close”

Ted Cruz Says AOC Giving 'Good Advice' About Coronavirus Precautions
Republican Senator Ted Cruz praised a precautionary message to New Yorkers about coronavirus (COVID-19) from Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, saying it was "good advice" for "everywhere."

Cruz, a staunchly conservative lawmaker from Texas, and Ocasio-Cortez, a self-identified democratic socialist from New York, may be from polar opposites of the American political spectrum, but they are on the same page when it comes to steps people should take in response to the threat of coronavirus. In a Saturday tweet, the New York congresswoman shared advice with her constituents, which Cruz retweeted several hours laters, suggesting people around the country should take note.
