Van Jones video explaining what three ideas to get rid of.
Summary:
3 bad ideas that could give Trump a victory if people believe them.
1. Trump will self-destruct.
2. The electorate cares about his polices, or policies in general.
3. The demographics (women, minorities) are against him, he has no chance.
Y'all here are acting like Hillary is not a total corporate sellout. Bernie could crush this blowhard if the media was honest and held people to the high standards that Cronkite and Murrow held. Now we have shitheels like O'Reilly and Brian Williams.
Maddow is ok, but people like Ed Schultz who got kicked off for his TPP coverage are needed on every channel all day long.
Also the bullshit that the Hillary side is pulling at the margins of the primaries is really testing a lot of Bernie supporters. I consider myself a Bernie supporter for the financial reforms but I am a right wing reactionary against SJWs and held my nose on this to vote for him against Hillary.
March 9, 1815 : The Monster has escaped from his place of banishment.
March 10: The Corsican Orge has landed at Cape Juan
March 11: The Tiger has shown himself at Gap. The Troops are advancing on all sides to arrest his progress. He will conclude his miserable adventure by becoming a wanderer among the mountains.
March 12: The Monster has actually advanced as far as Grenoble
March 13: The Tyrant is now at Lyon. Fear and Terror seized all at his appearance.
March 18: The Usurper has ventured to approach to within 60 hours’ march of the capital.
March 19: Bonaparte is advancing by forced marches, but it is impossible he can reach Paris.
March 20: Napoleon will arrive under the walls of Paris tomorrow.
March 21: The Emperor Napoleon is at Fountainbleau
March 22: Yesterday evening His Majesty the Emperor made his public entry and arrived at the Tuileries. Nothing can exceed the universal joy.
Found on the web. Supposedly headlines from the French newspaper Le Moniteur, March 1815. Can't vouch for its authenticity. Amusing contemporary comparison, viz Trump.

Except Trump commanded no armies. He defeated his enemy with words and smugness alone.
That's all it takes these days.
I personally don't want to reward Clinton with the presidency for being a motherfucking weathervane.

A cocky blowhard that likely has only 5% of self proclaimed wealth and a disastrous bankruptcy record can be able to cow the media to a degree. Funny stuff.
The guy really is using fear as a weapon, mostly.
If this was 1998 and the economy was really good and crime had started to strongly dip (from late 80's early 90's mega levels) he could not be using this fear cudgel like he is now. (Yes, I am aware 1998 was Bill Clinton time)
He can use the TPP club and whack the stuffing out of Clinton, but not Sanders.

The Republican base loves Trump. The rest of the GOP does not, but they hate Hillary more. Despite predictions of party splits, they have lined up nicely behind Trump.
I'll be frank. I dislike Hillary. I don't trust her. I not only think she has a likability issue, but I think she is corrupt, and her only moral center is which way the polls happen to be pointing. In reality, I consider her a moderate to somewhat right Republican. Nevertheless I will hold my nose and vote for her come November, because the theater of Trump is much, much worse.
Trump is no genius. He isn't particularly intelligent. Hell, I often think he's slightly below average intelligence. He's no master manipulator. He's no great negotiator. He's not a great business man. People have a hard time believing these things because they think it takes those qualities to have wealth. Trump's sole strength is that he's an opportunist. That's it. We live in a time of reality TV theater for real life, and he just so happens to be a reality TV star, chosen precisely for that role because he's a giant douche bag. He gets ratings, and unfortunately, that is what news is for nowadays, not to inform, but to garner ratings. By not pressing him, by not putting his feet to the fire, by not asking for specifics, the mainstream media is an active participant in the coming cluster fuck that will ensue should this narcissistic bag of dicks become president.
Those taking comfort in the hopes that congress and the courts will be able to limit Trump's meltdown of the US must realize how much damage this ego-maniacal moron can do, not only here at home, but abroad. Like it or not, the world depends on the US to remain stable and somewhat predictable in world affairs. Not just militarily, but economically and diplomatically. Trump has already mused about allowing the US to default on it's debt obligations (good advice perhaps for a company, horrible for a country) spread nuclear weapons around to South Korea, Japan, and more of Europe, as well as withdraw from NATO.
This man-baby is a textbook case of Dunning-Kreuger. Imagine him as the head of our military? What happens when (not if) he gives his first illegal order to the military that is against the uniform codes of military justice? We will either have a military that has no conscience at all, or a military that refuses the orders of it's commander and chief. Either case is of great concern.
Trump is a menace and a national embarrassment. It is my sincere hope that he loses this election, and that his brand suffers irreparable damage thanks to his campaign, causing him to become one of the poor people he despises so much.
